Evolving favorites

Just wanted to share this interesting cycle I go thru every II season... I'm sure a lot of you do too. You can share your evolvement of favorites in same format below..

Just love Amit's singing now... think he is the bestest... suddenly he has become a favorite (i look most forward to his performance)...

Even the second best now i feel is really really far from him

Deepali...

love her singing... it is flawless, also find her very mature and balanced...

Ankita:

she is a rock star... really has something special in terms of her confidence and care free attitude... what impresses me is that she is really working hard... did not think much of her singing earlier, infact i thought she sang badly several times during the piano rounds... but after the wild card round her singing has become very stable... the effort is showing...

Other comments:

I still like Emon but something about his prononciations is not right and jarring... Always feels like something is missing not sure what... Also I think i enjoyed his piano round performances much more...

I was really fond of Chang, but he seems to be out of sur most of the time... I did enjoy teh song salaam e ishq, though i cannot deny he went off sur in even that... but after that he has certainly become weak.... has a great voice but now his songs are not memorable any more...

Abhishek from the beginning I did not like him that much... then was impressed with his padosan rendition even though he was constantly going flat in karake shin 'gaaaaar'...

really liked his 'Don' performance... but now he has also consistently gone off key...

Prashant, feels he has limitations... not impressing at all now... liked his Ya Ali in Piano, nothing impressed much after that...

Puja- i think she is a great singer, but i dont really enjoy her singing as much... perhaps it is the nasal voice... but she is still a very strong singer... and consistent too...

Well from the very beginning I loved Emon's voice, chang was also one of my favs then, but Amit and Prashant has always been in my favourite list. Deepali I only notice in the final piano rounds and at the galas. Abhishek I never noticed and Parleen I always liked but never cos of his voice but cos he was cute and he had a stage presence which was very appealing. Puja I very really noticed and I never had any love for her voice till the gala's came around. Ankita was good at the wildcard rounds and she does have a raw energy about her which is very appealing and her voice is improving a lot I guess due to a lot of hard work.
But these days I only look forward to hearing Amit, Emon, Deepali and Prashant( I can't help but love this sweet guy) I think the first the should be the there till the end but as the show progresses this might change. I might start to like chang or parleen or abhishek better. It's still anyone's game.

In the theatre round i didnt even notice Amit..

It was always Emon , Chang, Deepali, Puja, Ayesha and Charu.
In the piano round I loved Amit's Chal Chale and from then on its been only him..

I still love Emon's singing but i feel he doesnt pronounce some words right and lacks maturity,

while Deepali is very mature and i love her singing,,

Puja is still good but i find her voice nasal.......

Chang has fallen below expectation and his range is not so good..

Ankita is a great show woman bt her singing still jarrs sometimes.

Now I look forward every Friday to hear AMIT sing ..

Infact knowing that he is going to sing Pehla Nasha tomorrow I have already heard the original version so I can compare ..and enjoy it.

well i luved only and only chang from the his voice appealed me very much so he was my first favourite .
then i noticed emon in the theatre with shifa and liked his"wers the party" he looked very cute 2

in the first piano i just luved puja and i thought deepali is just fine . i didn't like any other gurl much

feel in luv with emon's "o majhi re" liked amit a lot bhavin, prashant, parleen, wer gud 2 . chang was not so gud but i still luv him

in " ab ke sajan " and "nisha" i was so impressed id deepali that she became ny fav curl . puja was also gud but not as the first piano.
all of emon's pianos wer great , chang was gud sumtimes too amit was not so impressive but still his voice and personality appealed me. his ouster was a complete shoch and his wild card entry a pleasant surprize
all in all chand is out of my list tough i still luv him and want him 2 stay
deepali , puja, amit and emon r my top 4 b,coz of their consistent performances

Very True, can't deny at all. Even I was really really fond of him. He seems really good till Piano rounds but gradually when Gala round started to hit, he just got lost somewhere and started to lose his charm. I really hope he comes up with some good singing in next Gala.

hey i do the same thing. everyweek when i know what amit is going to sing that week i listen to the original about 20 times until it's set in my mind then i listen to amit sing it and compare. i think amit has done better than the origianl's in some songs. even after his performance is over i listen to the orignal again and it seems to be he takes the essence of the song and adds a special touch to it by changing it's feel sometimes. i really think he must be having a good understanding of music to do this. i'll be missing this weeks episode but i guess i'll catch it on II3 forum

(Aisha's 'namak', Chang's 'meri sanson mein basa hay', Emon's 'majhi re' bowled me over. It was singing at its magical best.Liked Amit's performances too)

(Amit's 'dil lena khail hay dildar ka' was the foundation of my love for him 😛 )

Galas

Amit: This guy has officially made me fall in love with his singing. I noticed and liked him in the later piano rounds but then my love for Chang overshadowed all love I had for any other contestant but now that Amit is unarguably the most consistent and truly magical with his performances, I seem to have ears only for him on II stage. They say slow and steady wins the race, Amit is right there. His amazing singing skills, silky voice and humility are his most remarkable treasures. He should become the Indian Idol and if he does, I'll be over the moon.

Emon: He might have not given his best in the galas but he's still technically very good and one of the best in II-3. He's my second choice for the title. On a side note, apart from his singing, I find him absolutely adorable.

Deepali: She is the best among girls if we count all factors. She's a combo of very good singing, brains and a mature air about her. Hope she makes it to top 3.

Puja: She might not have the best voice but makes up for it with her amazing singing skills. I have always liked her and will most probably continue to do so.

Chang: Chang has been a favorite of mine since his auditions and I found him really good till before the galas. He's disappointed me with his gala performances and though I have tried my best to make excuses for him in my mind, have accepted that he's not the best among those present and his weakest point is his range. His decline began the day he started paying more attention to performance than singing. 😕

Prashant: Liked him very much in piano rounds but like chang, he's faltered after the galas started, has got his limitations.

Ankita: Liked her auditions but didn't find her singing very good in the piano rounds irrespective of her amazing performance. She's improved in the singing department since the wild card round but i find her overrated at times.

Abhishek: Never mind (Really liked his 'Dil deewana' in piano rounds though).

Parleen: never cared much about him. The only performance of his I liked was 'Chain kuli ki mein kuli"

this will be quite a big write up...ok letz try...

wen i frst saw the promo ads of II3 i dunno why i was very happy n lookin forward to it....though i didnt even watch II2...actually that was the time wqen i was yearning to see a reality show...coz i live on that.

audition rounds:puraaa dekha...i was looking at chang,parleen n....noone else...kyunki they were the two who were shown in ads....n yes some suhit too...par parleen n chang were my eye catchers....n yes the biggest was EMON....he also caught my attention...



theater : i completely missed the whole process....pata nahi kyu i lost interest....but i knew charu nd suhit...you now why. 😉

piano:didnt watch frst two rounds....matlab kuch ki thodi si dekhli thi aisey hi timepass ke liye....then i liked anky in frst round...she was all set to becum my fav...but i was not impressed wid her after the frst round...

i knew bout some deepali...my mom told me....but really i didnt even see her frst performance...though i caught some part of her second performance...boys ka to khair mujhe piano rounds mey dekhney ka mann hi nahi karta tha....

then in thrd round anu praised deeps then i mean i jus saw her like maybe she's a good singer...i saw her nisha...super good....n then in the fourth round i totally gave up....she became my fav.

puja also caught my attention...n i liked her singin...but you knw deepali was there already.

but still anky was sumwhere in my mind...i wanted her to come through WC...honestly...n she came...i was happy.

as i said i was hardly saw guys performance so....i didnt knew guys except abhi,parleen,chang n emon....matlab like i watched piano rounds frm third round...till second round it was not so craze for me.


Gala rounds: DEEPALI.......then...AMIT nd now maybe PUJA ...ANKY is also there for me....n....ok till now bas itney hi....
