Hey guyz, this is my first fanfic in IF! I am OBSESSED w/ Maayka, especially Mahi and Shabd =D. So, I decided 2 write a fan-fic. Hope you like it, PLEAZ read and reply =D
It was July 14th 2007 in the Malhotra house. This was a special day; it was the birthday of their sweetest, youngest, and most beautiful little daughter.
The sun was shining brightly when Moni Malhotra opened her eyes to see the beautiful day. She quietly climbed out of her bed, tying up her long, black, flowing hair. She headed for the bathroom to take refreshing shower.
When Moni was coming out of the bathroom with a towel in her hair, dressed in a beautiful red sari:

She saw her husband, Brij Malhotra, wide awake reading a newspaper.
"Vah, vah! Aaj itne subhe subhe utgaye aap."
"Aaj to uske janamdin hai na, main kaise jaldi naa uthu?" Moni smiled as a reply.
"Chalo, tum to utgaye, ab Rajji, Soni, aur Prince ko bhi uthana parega. Tumhe plan to yaad hai na?"
"Main Kayse plan bhulu? Tum har panera minute mujhe yaad dilate ho." They both laughed. Moni, then went to the mandir to start the morning puja.
Brij Malhotra got out of bed and slowly tip-toed into Prince's room.
"Uth Prince! Tu to janta hai aaj kaunsa din hau."
"Oof papa, main uthgaya hoon. Leken itne jaldi?"
"Ha, itne jaldi. Tu to janta hai who kitna baje uth jati hai. Aaj hum uske pehle uth jayenge aur use surprise dedenge."
Once Prince got out of bed, Brij went straight to his three lovely daughters' room.
Mujhko bahut chup chapse un dono ko uthana parega. He thought.
When he stepped into their room, he was surprised to see his two olders daughers already wide awake, whispering to eachother. Meanwhile, the younger one slept sound asleep.
"Papa!" Rajji and Soni whispered.
"aaja, aaja! Usko uthana math."
"theek hai. Hum araha hain, tum kitchen main jao aur cake le aao." Brijji then went to the kitchen and came out with a huge pink cake. He put it on the table when Moni came out from the mandir and stood beside her husband.
"Main candles le kar aau?"
" Haan. Phir hum jalalenge aur usko uthalenge. Who itna surprise hogi."
Moni went to feth the candles when she saw Rajji, Soni, and Prince discussing something.
"Kya Hua? Tum sub kya batein kar rehe ho?"
Startled, Soni was the first to find her voice.
"Uh… kuch nahin mummyji… kyun?"
"Nahin, nahin, kuch nahin. Chalo, hum cakeme candle jalarehe hain. Tum log jaldi se aajao, aur tumhara presents bhi le aana."
"Ji mummyji."
Remembering the presents, Moni went to her own dresser and took out a small box. She then went to the kitchen where she found the rest of her family crowded around the cake.
"Yeh lo, candles." Moni handled Brijji the candles and soon, they all started lighting 22 bright colored candles. Brij and Prince then carried the cake with the rest of the family beside them into the girls' room. Just when they passed the door, they started singing "Happy Birthday" loud enough to wake up the sleeping beauty.
Before the family's eyes, their youngest girl opened her beautiful innocent eyes, blessed with a unique brown color. Her skin was as smooth as flower petals. Her hair, like her mother's: long, silky, and dark, almost like staring into night itself.
"… Happy Birthday MAHIIIIIIIII… Happy Birthday to YOU!" sang her family.
"Are Bhagwan! Tum logne tho meri jaan le li." Were Mahi's first words. When she gazed at the cake… she was startled. "Wow, yeh… meri liye?"
"Aur kya? Aaj ki meri janamdin hai, buddhu?" replied Soni, "Jald se jald candle blow karde. Is cake ja tasty lagrehe na. "
Mahi blew out the candles with only one wish in mind:
Bagwan… meri to ek hi kwaaish hai, please meri family ko issi tara khush rakna.
Mahi blew out the candles. Just when she did this, a blow of wind blew from the window to her face, forcing her hair to fall freely on her shoulders.
"To Mahi, kya wish kara? Ek sundar sa rajkumar, hai na?" Commented Rajji.
"Oof, Rajjidi, tum bhi na." She threw a pillow at her.
Then Mahi cut the cake and fed it to all her family.
"Mummyji, main is cake poori tara se nahin khaungi. Abhi to moong bhi nahi dhoa."
"Theek hai Mahi, abhi abhi moong dhoke aa aur cake khalena. Abhi to tere liye mein kheer bana ti hoon. Aur uski baad, jaha bhi chaye ja sakti hai. Apni behno aur dosto ki saath aaj jaha man karta hai jaa. Oi, maine to bhuli gayi. Kitchen mein, sub gifts bhi to kholna hai."
"theek hai mummyji."
Saying that, Moni and Brijji left the room. Mahi went to the bathroom and Rajji and Soni followed. While Mahi was brushing her teeth, Rajji and Soni were talking about a recent police officer they had seen on duty, Veer.
"Kitni acha dikta hain na?" Said Rajji
"Kyun di, tumhe pyar to nahin hua?" questioned Soni.
"Kya baat kar rahi ho Soni? Pyar? Usse to abhi abhi dekha hai… aur pyar? Pyar to hota hai jub ek ladki ek ladke ko janti hai, samajh sakti hai, aur uske sabse kareeb dost bhi hai. Main to usse college ki pas sirph dekha hai. Aur tu soch rahi hai ke mujhe pyar ho gaya hai."
"Ek ladke ko janne ko kya jaroori hai? Maine to abtak socha tha ke pyar ek pal me ho jata hai. Pehle nazar se."
"Pehla nazar jaroorat hai, leken ek bar kissi ko janna bhi jaroorat hai."
"Oof, didi! Ab yeh pyar vyar choro aur mere saath kitchen mein chalo. Udhar, hum sub ki naya naya kheer bana hua hai. Aplog late hoge, to kuch nahin bachenge. Main jo hoon na." Cut in Mahi.
Laughing, the three girls entered the kitchen. Mahi saw two wrapped boxes in the middle of the table. Seeing them, she was excited to see what they contained.
The three daughters sat down at the table and awaited their mummyji to give them the kheer.
"Lo Mahi. Aaj to tera janamdin hai, to tu sabse pehle kha le."
"Thank you mummyji."
The rest of the family sat down and started eating their kheer. After that, they had Mahi's favorite breakfast, Aloo ka paratha. Later when they were finished, Mahi opened the bigger box. She was surprised to see a brilliant pale red and crme printed salwar kameez:

"Wow! Thank you so much Rajjidi, Soni, aur Prince. Mere yeh salwar kameez bahut acha laga. Aaj mein yehi pehnoongi."
"Sirph yeh nahin, dekh uski neeche kya hai." Said Soni.
Curious, Mahi picked up the salwar and saw a pure white halter dress. She immediately picked it up and saw the full length. It was just below her knees and the bottom of it was flowing.

"Are! Yeh kya?"
"Yeh hai tera first dress. Hum jante hain ke tu dress kabhi bhi nahin painti. Yeh dress hum tujhko de rahe hai, leken ek deal par." Said Rajji
"Kaunsa deal?"
"Deal yeh hai ke tu is dress sirph tub pehnengi jub tu tera pyar ko attract karengi. Jub tu pehnengi, hum sub samajhayenge ke tujhe kissi ne chura kar le gaya."
"Agar yeh deal me rakhoo, to main is dress kabhi bhi nahin pehnoongi."
"Dekhenge."
Everyone laughed. Rajji, Soni, and Prince were worrying if Daddyji and Mummyji was going to approve of the dress or not, but everything went smoothly.
"Aur ub, humari present."
Mahi was especially excited to open this one because she knew that it was going to be jewelry. Her parents gave every daughter jewelry for their birthdays, even when they were just 12 months old. As she opened the box up, Moni and Brij enjoyed seeing the hint of excitement in her eyes. As Mahi opened the box up, she saw a pair of beautiful, shining diamond earrings:

"Wow, mumyji, daddyji! Yeh to itna khoobsoorat hai! Aur yeh to dress se bhi match karenge! Thank you so much!" Mahi said in an excited tone.
"To tumhe pasand hai?" Asked Moni, just to be sure.
"Bilkul!"
Mahi's face glowed with excitement as she put them along her ears to see what they would look like on her.
After opening presents and finishing breakfast, Rajji, Soni, and Mahi got ready to go out. Mahi's face was gleaming with excitement as she was wearing the salwar kameez her siblings had bought for her. Beside her, Rajji was wearing a gleaming yellow and red salwaar kameez and to her left, Soni was wearing a bright pink salwar:

Together, the three sisters left their home. Mahi was so excited for the concert they were going to. Little did she know that this concert was going to change her life forever…
