if they were that hungry, they didnt had to leave the ring for captain. They could have sit there and let it turn uglier than it already was.

Not trying to blame Gautam only for breakup. but things never have to always revolve around Gautam.
Just like he has a motive in becoming a captain i.e. prove his capability or revenge whichever you want to pick, others are allowed to have selfish motives.

Its a game where others are not there to protect you, you have to protect yourselves.
Before they enter this show, they know there will be plottting, scheming, deceiving, double dholkis and what not. Its upto you, how you chose to protect yourself, how much you want to trust others.

Gautum has never betrayed them, has always trusted them, even after they first betrayed him, he still trusted them... gave Praneet the key.

Gautum has not said that he will take revenge when he becomes captain... they are assuming it... in fact if we look back... Gautum has never done anything vengeful, no matter what... this was clearly seen in the yes and no task. You kiding me? He said that to Puneet so many times " In sab ko inki aukat dikha doonga "

That task was an eye opener for it showed that whatever slander the HMs have said against him, it is not reflected in his actions. Watching that clip, people that hated him went up to him, giving their warmth and appreciation... that must have definitely shaken everyone... for deep down, they now realise why the janta love him.

So now all HMs have one agenda... slander him... lower him in the eyes of the same janta... keep at it... so that people will begin to doubt.

Why would Pritam as his friend not think that he needs a mental rest from the constant pressure... and that this could be the reason he wants captaincy. For he definitely does not need captaincy to prove himself. That reason doesnt reflect in his actions. "Actions speak louder than words". Pritam has been nominated handful of times himself.wouldnt that put pressure on him?
