ZGH : A Rainbow Of Emotions Weaved In Relations

ZGH broke many preconceived notion . Just felt while watching as if watching the people around me whether its youngsters or the older generations. Same status factor here ,same life style . What is different ? Just a line .
Have left watching TV except English ones. After a long dry spell of good drama, finally found something worth watching and waiting for the next episode. It came with a lot of learning experience for audiences. ZGH came as a breath of fresh air.
Zindgi iGulzar Hai, a well-crafted drama which ended in just 26 episodes. It was subtle, no over the top drama, nothing trash in the name of Romance, still love was in the air when both were just talking or holding each others hands, gazing from the corner of there eyes now and then. This show took some serious issues like discrimination between son and daughter which is dealt in a very elegant way, along with education, women empowerment, marital issues. Then some lighter moments in the university of Zaroon and Kashaf, both belonging from a different class with different values, Zaroon on one hand is a big time flirt, good musician but on the same time a topper who knows what he wants from his life where as Kashaf on the other hand a lower middle class girl with family issues, always criticizing God for what ever happens wrong in her life and believe me lot of criticizing but above all she too is a topper and knows what she wants to do in her life and her way to there is not going to be a bed of roses but less roses with lot of thorns and she is ready to take the path as she is a strong headed woman. While watching Kashaf from the starting ,even with her complexes , insecurities , she is head strong . She is model role for so many girls who goes through this kind of problems but do not loose heart and just keep their priorities right in the life . Her strength is her inner-self which does not let her bend and her family who is pillar of strength for her . She is vulnerable , emotional but have the guts to call a spade a spade . Do not compromise with her values . She loves Zaroon but afraid to open her heart to him , thinking her telling him will make her vulnerable . Trust factor is missing due to her circumstances .
Rafia, a strong mother of three daughters who raised them alone as her husband married a second woman because she can't give him a boy. She brought up her daughters with dignity and self-respect and made them financially independent. When Kashaf gets married to Zaroon, she came with lot of baggage which included insecurities, complexes. Rafia and Sidra helped kashaf by giving her small advises which builds her relations with in-laws strong. And later on also she makes Kashaf understand the values of every relationships. Help her to over come her complexities and Zaroon also has major contribution to make the marriage successful. He did not let ego come in between the two. He was steadily bringing her out of her self made cocoon.
Brother sister relationship which Kashaf also became the part of. There is so much about this show. This story has been so well written that each and every dialogue has meaning which can be seen in our day to day lives and for that all credit goes to writer or may i say the whole team from director to sound editor.
Fawad Khan as Zaroon played brilliantly the character and specially in intense scenes . His eyes can do the talking . And Sanam as Kashaf did great job . She has speaking eyes . Both of them brought the best in each other whenever was confronting scene .It was not just a love story but so many lessons of life weaved in . Do not have enough words to appreciate this show .Should better call it A Rainbow of emotions.

Zaroon with his ring genuinely tells Kashaf ' Till death do us apart ' And sanam ' Roses or no roses .Ring or no ring , i am commited to this marriage . This just one liners were enough to express the genuinity of their bonding of relationship .I can certainly thank Umera Ahmed for both Kashaf and Rafia 'characters. Both are strong, independent women who refuse to let anything or anyone compromise their dignity.
A show can be full package when every character plays a important role to take the story . No trash in the name of Romance , no glycerin factory , no mute cow daughter-in-law . And so was ZGH !
Kashaf's is the most well-etched character in this serial. She is very balanced in terms of how human she is - she gets angry, happy, envious, sad, frustrated, much like the rest of us . Never heard of Fawad Khan before ZGH and while watching just fell in love with the character who was a man with flaws but knew the meaning of respecting the relationship thus turned admirer of his work and same went for Sanam Saeed .

My tribute to the characters Zaroon & Kashaf ,played by Fawad Khan & Sanam saeed in Zindgi Gulzar Hai who Captivated me and breathed life in to the characters they played . These characters were challenge for me to gel them with old melodious numbers which have timeless beauty . So this is mine gift from here to other side , As music has no language ,only we can feel the emotions which have no language .So tried to fill the colors

Zindagi Gulzar Hai...Well i really cannot understand from where do i start 😳😳😳 Got to know about the serial from my friend on fb...somebody had posted Kashaf's confession scene on her wall and by luck, I happened to see it...and there were so many appreciative comments for the serial and Fawad-Sanam, and that was last episode that was being aired on Zindagi...my curiosity for the serial got sparked and then began my journey into the lives of ZaShaf...I watched the whole serial in 2 days flat😉 (mostly nights, as din mein kaam jo tha 😛), and I have become a lifetime fan of Fawad 😳 Before this serial, I didnt even know who he was or Sanam (Saeed, Baloch, Jung), or Sameena, or Mahira, etc., After that I have watched all his shows on YT and have liked them too, but not as much as ZGH...maybe, because it was the first one of his that I watched...Anyways, was eagerly waiting for Khoobsurat...but that was a sad letdown...not on Fawad's part, but the makers of that movie...He hardly had anything to do in it😕 how much he was given, he has done it as best possible the role deserved...Anyways, now back to ZGH 😊
It is a complete serial..The story has been woven through all the characters in such a way, that there are no loose ends anywhere...The bondings between various relationships have been portrayed so beautifully...that of mother and the daughters, the sisters' bonding and of course Zaroon and his father's bonding and Zaroon and Sara's bonding..all so lifelike...Gazala was always on the fringes...She never was very much involved with the family...Sir Abrar played a very prominent role in moulding Kashaf into what she turned out to be...Osama and Asmara were great pals to Zaroon.

Kashaf my favorite girl...and what a girl she is...her insecurities and complexes with regards to men and the society in general...Sidra and her mom try so hard to bring her out of that...but she remains the stubborn girl...It needed a Zaroon to help her in overcoming all that...Sanam has enacted her so beautifully, one feels as if she really has gone through all that...superb acting Sanam 👏

Zaroon...jitna bolo kam hain...he is a spoilt brat...but he is caring too...at times very sensible and responsible, but sometimes idiotic and so very scared of Kashaf 😆 but jo bhi ho...he is very lovable...one just cant help loving him😳 Fawad absolutely superb superb acting ki hai tumne...God bless you to achieve greater success and keep you happy and healthy always and bless your sweet family too...Here I just would like to add a word of advice..tumhare bhale ke liye hi bol rahin hoon...Tumhare jo bhi serials ab tak dekhe hain, in most of them you smoke..Please kick off this habit for the sake of your fans and your family..please 😛

Rafia, Sidra, Sir Abrar, Junaid, Osama, Sara, Asmara, Gazala, Murtaza all these characters were so well defined...the whole casting was just superb...each of the actors have done a wonderful job 👏 And the best thing I have liked about ZGH is the complete absence of any over the top drama...everything was so subtle but so very convincing..and of course the fact that the serial ends in 26 episodes (though dil sach mein maange more😭). It would've been really so nice if Zaroon and Kashaf could get to read each other's diaries...then Zaroon would've known how much she loves him 😳

And last but certainly not the least...ZGH has helped in breaking so many preconceived notions which we have had of Pakistan and the people living there...watching it was like something which happens in our homes too...then why cant there be peace amongst our countries? wish good sense would prevail..and then it would be, like how Zaroon says...Zindagi Gulzar hai 👍🏼

A small tribute of love from me to ZGH and all the fans. VMs toh main bana nahin sakti..just some collaged pics and songs for those pics 😳

Like most of you I was recommended to watch ZGH by a relative of mine. Being the impatient kind, I read up the story on wiki and when my relative asked me again I said that I hadn't watched it, but had read the story on wiki and knew what it was all about. She told me, unless I didn't watch it I wouldn't know what ZGH was all about. So one fine day, rather reluctantly I watched and and boy was I hooked??? Hook, line and sinker hooked!😆

Its again for the same reason as everyone has stated. All the characters were so real, all the situations so believable and the icing on the cake was the very real and natural way they unfolded the love story of Zaroon and Kashaf and I got to watch one of the most adorable pairing and love story, which wasn't a typical love story in the true sense, but much more real as it showed the evolution of Zaroon, Kashaf and their relationship.

Also apart from the very releatable story and characters, what made me connect to the main leads, was that we knew about their inner thoughts through their dairy enteries and their monologues, which were brilliantly written.

Also hats off to the creatives for juxtaposing the lives of Zaroon and Kashaf so well and also for juxtaposing the social message of gender equality, education and women empowerment, without ever being preachy with the love story of Zaroon and Kashaf. I haven't come across any other show that has done this.

I was thinking i ididn't have anything much to say about ZGH as I have already said so much in various threads, but there I go writing eulogy upon eulogy about it and I guess that does say it all for me.😳

I primarily started watching ZGH to check out Fawad Khan as lots of my friends had being going gaga over him for years now. 😆I had heard about the guy so wanted to find out if he really was all the hype. I didnt have much hopes from the show as hardly anyone I knew recommended ZGH.
And boy did he live up to the hype or what! He has been much more. Luckily I discovered Fawad when he was on the verge of making his BW debut and there has been no looking back since.
Coming to the show ZGH...if Fawad was outstanding so was the show. Its been a long time since almost every scene made me want to scream-Yes that happened to me...Yes I am Kashaf or Yes I am Rafia/Sidra/Sara/Zaroon/Asmara. Every character...every situation was so real and true to life.
Pakistani shows arrived at a time when I as a viewer was giving up on TV completely thanks to the unpalatable shows on Indian TV. Thanks to efforts by Zee and Zindagi to bring these shows to Indian viewers. What I loved the most was about ZGH that it promised like Indian shows to preach all values of hard work, diligence, honesty which the middle class holds dear but unlike Indian shows never forgot what it started out to say. Hats off the whole team of ZGH!

i will write a very short message here.
I loved the show, because of its quality, the subject, the execution, and mostly the actors especially the lead pair. Fawad and Sanam were brilliant in every frame, they had an endearing chemistry and were magnificent in there characters of zaroon and kashaf.
I loved how the show focuses on the basic ideas of socialism, gender discrimination and relationships, loved how they showed zaroon-sara bonding, and also kashaf and sidra's bonding. Loved how they explored an university outline, the aiming of one's passion in both professional and personal lives and being successful at it avoiding all the negativities around.
Lastly, I had watched Humsafar before ZGH, and after watching ZGH, i had become a loyal fan of fawad khan, Humsafar definitely influenced me watching this show only because of him, and after this show, i knew i am definitely watching all his work.

Zindagi Gulzar hai! <3 I dont think any show is as close to my heart as this show has been and i can vouch for the fact that it always will be special.
So mid of this year, when Zindagi aired ZGH, a couple of friends went gaga over Zaroon, Kashaf, Fawad and my FB timeline was filled with ZGH posts and i wondered what was so special about a 'drama' and this guy called 'Fawad'. This was at a time when i was completely off TV thanks to the nonsensical dramas airing here and so i had absolutely no interest to know what the show was about. A few days later, some close friends too went bonkers about a guy called 'Fawad Khan' and this show so i finally decided to give it a shot and from then on its been one helluva journey.

I started watching ZGH and i was hooked and booked! I completed the series in 2 days and i dint know what was happening around me. I was LOST in the worlds of Zaroon and Kashaf. The show was a breathe of fresh air. I had not seen a show that could so beautifully and realistically tell a story in just 26 episodes. I could relate to each and every character. Be it Zaroon, Kashaf or Sara and Ghazala. Every episode , every scene had so much learning about the essence of life. The best part about the show was that the characters had their share of flaws, the female lead was not shown to be a demigod but had her own share of flaws. The male lead was just not a handsome looking rich man but he had a fair share of shortcomings. And how beautifully did they show the lives of Kashaf and Zaroon transform completely towards the end. Zindagi indeed is very Gulzar!

It was a BEAUTIFUL show! And will always remain special. It paved the way for me to know Fawad Khan who i really admire and adore. He acts like a dream and looks heavenly. Also, Sanam saeed was exemplary as Kashaf. Also, the entire cast was terrific from Sameena Peerzada to Hina Bayat to the girl playing Sidra to Sara. I m also glad for the fact that this show gave me a lot of friends here and something so cherishable always!
