Arrest Salman Khan, demands social worker

A social worker on Thursday urged the police to arrest actor Salman Khan who faces two criminal cases in the jurisdiction of the Banjara Hills and Falaknuma police stations.

Addressing a press conference, Md. Fasiuddin Ayan said a case had been registered against the actor by Falaknuma Police over remarks he had made hurting sentiments of Muslims in a TV show a year ago. "The case was registered following a direction given by a local court. Still no action is taken by police in this one year," he said.

He demanded that the actor be arrested when he arrives in Hyderabad to attend the marriage of his sister, which is scheduled to be held in the next few days at Falaknuma palace.

No idea...but this one is disgusting as this worker is trying to spoil Arpita's marriage for no fault of hers...such a thing shouldn't even be suggested..

If he's wrong why not. Victims too weren't at fault.

No what I am saying is that if he is wrong arrest him now...why suggest for his arrest at the time of his sister's wedding..

I'm not sure how the law works in India but it might be jurisdiction issue. Maybe if the offense and warrant were from Hyderabad then he can only be arrested in Hydeabad.

Doesn't India believe in freedom of speech? Because thus sounds like all he did was verbally express something that was deemed offensive by this lady.

@ red...yeah probably that is the case...but he is a celebrit...where is he going to run and hide...

By why did the court issue the arrest warrant? Shouldn't the court hold the law and refuse the order or reject the complaint on the basis of freedom of speech?

Some of these suits and complaints I hear about against celebrities in Bollywood gives the word frivolous a whole new meaning. I mean didn't someone file a complaint against Aishwarya for dumping him and causing him emotional distress?
