hmmm very disturbing topic, i dont think you should, kids and parents should develop a relationship in which both of them trust each other and say everything forthrightly. there are many things which parents dont wish to tell the kids and its not important for the kids to tell each and everything, especially there are times when kids need privacy. but if you have to end up spying on your kids, then sorry, you done a bad job as parents. this is my opinion. i have not encountered anyone yet who would spy on their kids, but yes they do monitor their kids and the kids know that they are being observed by parents. extreme measures leads to extreme outcomes. if the kid comes to know that their parents are spying, they will find new ways to deal with this, kids are smart and they can outsmart you sometimes! there are parents who have taken extreme measures on their kids and the kids have taken drastic steps in avoiding it, like no boyfriends, this will make them more rebellious and they will find ways to meet boyfriends. just an example.

Rachel Ray is from Food TV and yakety yaks nonstop.... I can't stand her.

As for spying on your kid... there are two sides. A minor can be disturbed and feel not trustworthy. However, if parents suspect something that can tarnish the child then should they not try to investigate further?? A child could be abused or lured, or someone tried selling pots etc. This does happen and we all know it.

However, I would not promote snooping just for the sake of it unless parents have reasons to believe that something fishy is going on. 😛

I saw a bit in the morning:
The kdis actually liked it when their mom spyed on them
the felt they were being protected, an 18 year old girl, and a 14 year old.
One of them said that if they were doing something bad [unknowingly], then they will be told by their mom that they were doing sumtin bad, and avoid it next time.
The 18 year old now has gotten some privacy.
