One of the reasons for Pritam's popularity with the audience was that he stood out as genuinely neutral ( unlike Praneet ) , he seemed like the voice of the audience in the house.. The day he confronted Deepshikha and the other housemate for cornering Gautam , I remember his words.. '' Usse galti huyi hai, us bande ne maafi mangi, per bhi pade, lekin ab hadd ho gyi hai..mein bhi dekh raha hun, ek hi bande ko corner karte cjale jaa rahe hain sab, ye galat hai '' I thought wow! he spoke my mind.. !! He was my favourite that day and I thought to myself yes this is the one contestant to look out for in this season..
The day I was in two minds was when Pritam got swayed n confused during the first captaincy task..But I gave him benefit of doubt, assuming it must be Puneet's fault..Pritam alone could not have pulled Upen.. he openly admitted his mistake and I applauded his honesty.. Even that day the snap deal caller had warned Pritam of being what he is good at and what he's being loved for.. and that is to take his own stand , not get included in ''bhed chaal ''( herd) .. Pritam nodded and promised the caller not to repeat the mistake but I doubt he understood what to do...
Those who are saying Praneet influenced Pritam , I am sorry i beg to differ.. Pritam is no 8 year old.. or a 40 plus man with a 2 year old brain unlike some in the house.. He is NOT naive, gullible or anything of that sort.. There are few reasons for his sudden 180 degree flip :
Half season gone he knows its time to act.. Gautam is right up there and he has to be knocked out .. whoever will help him do that, he will join hands.. If it works GREAT! If not he will get a second chance.. bonus will be he might get his ''partner in crime '' kicked out.. because he knows if audience has to pick between Praneet and Pritam, they will pick Pritam.. Getting Praneet eliminated is no small feat..he is also strong.. BG gang doesn't need to be worried about, its P3G his own group that is a threat..
I think its a very calculated risk Pritam has taken.. Maybe deep down he knows it might backfire, because whoever is against Gautam is looking bad onscreen.. If it backfires, Pundit jee will have to face the brunt from audience, they will still give chance to Pritam.. He said he is ready to face Salman's stick this Saturday! and if in this whole drama, Gautam does one mistake, violence, aggression or anything, because he is a hot headed guy, so its easy to provoke him, then he might dent his chances!!!! Right now if anyone who can get Gautam evicted is Gautam himself.. Pritam is trying to push him to that limit.. Let's see if GG passes this test.. Pundit jee for sure will get sacrificed at some point in this cross fire.. 😊
