I dont't get the double standards among the HMs when it comes to Gautam. YES Gautam needles people at times, has an ego, does not take advice well, takes his khunnas out on people, bitches about people BUT... SO DO THE OTHERS...Then WHY is ONLY GAUTAM called NEGETIVE and treated like a villain by the HMs. i just don't get it.

For eg..

1) Ali very openly does idhar ki udhar and instigates fights and everyone knows that..YET he is not called negative and called out on that and ostracized but the HMs. Everyone's ready to forgive him and be his friend again BUT Gautam who also needles people and instigates fights is constantly picked on and made a villain for doing the same thing.

2)Karishma has proven time and again HOW selfish and mean she is. We have seen the housemates, including her friends, discuss that among themselves. Gautam too is self centered a lot of times BUT why is it that only Gautam's self-centeredness is taken as a negative trait and is time and again called evil, psycho etc for being self centered. I mean after the Yes-No task all Karishma got was friendly advice from everyone about how she was wrong there, even Sushant mearly cried and told her he was hurt. No one screamt/abused at Karishma and shunned her and wished for something bad to happen to her. I can only imagine HOW these same people would have reacted if the tables had been turned and it was Gautam instead of Karishma. I can bet he would have been labeled the reincarnation of the Devil by now for not saving Sushant.

3)Most of the housemates have fought/ screamt at someone or the other at some point in time and so has Gautam so why do all of them behave as if ONLY Gautam fights in that house while the rest are just saints.

4)Puneet gossips the MOST in the house against almost everyone. He calls people "beta-beti" on their face while he disses them behind their back. Of all the people Pritam-Praneet should know this. Gautam bitches too but considering almost everyone hates him and bitches about him too we can'ty blame him for that. Also whatever Gautam says behind their backs he also says to their faces unlike Puneet n co. Yet Praneet goes on about Gautam being negative and bitching and discusses this with the other HMs YET he does not have the guts to confront Puneet about the same thing or tell the other HMs wat puneet says about them behind their back.

5) Diandra created a fuss about not being chosen as the captain after the Mithai task-Gautam creates a fuss about not being captain during butler task----yet Gautam is the ONLY villain in the house.

6)Ali comes near Gautams/Upen's face during his fight with them--Gautam comes near Upen's face during their fight-----yet Gautam is called a psycho for doing that while Ali is called...well nothing

I can go on with examples but I guess I made my point.

WHY is it that Gautam's every good deed is ignored/shunned under the carpet and every bad deed exaggerated and discussed to death by the HMs??? Why is he branded evil and negetive while others get a free pass for doing the exact same thing????? WHY does NO ONE have to guts to confront anyone else other than Gautam for their mistakes even when every mistake of Gautam is dissected and analysed and judged by everyone.

THIS is why Gautam gets all the sympathy from the viewers and salman...becoz the viewers can see how he is being treated and isolated for his mistakes while the others go scott free for the very same mistakes.The HMs don't see this but the viewers do...

Gautam is no saint but is it fair the way he is singled out inside the house?? HELL NO!!!

The guy has many faults, admittedly...a short fuse, ego issues, paranoia, selfishness etc. but for all his faults he comes across as a genuine guy in all he does...even when he's being stupid.

The housemates have been REMARKABLY dumb this year...I could understand if they didn't realize how they inadvertently made a hero out of Gautam in the first two weeks...but after that despite repeated BIG hints from Salman, they all INSIST on isolating and targetting Gautam over and over again.

This is not to say that they all need to be BFFs with him or praise him all the time...but they all lack the shrewdness (barring Pritam to some extent) to deal with Gautam...

Big Boss is also playing a smart game by continuously setting up situations to portray Gautam as the victimized party...and the housemates are stupid enough to run with it...their GLEE in punishing Gautam whether it is through the cage punishment or now the shoe polishing and the stoic silence with which Gautam completes those punishments will always win him brownie points.

Gautam deffo has his drama queen side but he is not that stupid also...he doesn't create issues over punishments meted out to him and works diligently through them...he knows where to keep quiet and that ends up making him seem like the more likeable one in such situations.

If only he had the brains to stop blindly worshiping Puneet...

The game can only change with Puneet leaving the house and Gautam coming out of his shadow...otherwise this will remain a vicious cycle.

The victimizing aside, the reason Gautam is also being liked is cuz he comes across as having a clean heart, is entertaining with his one-liners and songs...

For Karishma and the other housemates to so POMPOUSLY presume that Gautam is being liked so much simply cuz of sympathy is remarkably short-sighted.

Also, that "yes/no" task alone should have been the CLINCHER as far as people's opinions of Gautam goes...after that also if ppl insist on only viewing Gautam one-dimensionally then it's like a determined effort to hate him.
