Actress Kajol is now under home-arrest. While her third attempt at making a cinematic comeback has hit a roadblock, she has slipped at home and fractured her leg. The mother of two will be bed-ridden for a couple of weeks and completely out of action. A source close to the heroine says, "She can't move out of the house. Her professional commitments have all been postponed to another date. We haven't finalised a date that can be now committed since we don't know how long she will take to recover from this fall." When contacted Kajol's spokesperson there was no revert.

KAJOL'S COMEBACK FILM STALLED
It was all but final. Ajay Devgn was all set to make the Hindi version of the Malayalam film HOW OLD ARE YOU? The Hindi version was originally to be directed by Ashwini Dheer, but the director of the original Roshan Andrews said he wanted to direct the Hindi version himself. In the meanwhile, the Tamil version to be directed by Manju Warrier will go on the floors on 17 November starring the superstar Surya's wife Jyotika. Ajay too was to produce the film with Kajol heading the cast and wanted his own director and was willing to pay a big price for it. All these ups and downs have finally led to the project being dropped. We find it difficult to say whose loss it will be. But we can vouch that the audience has lost another chance to see Kajol in a brand new role in which she had shown all her interest.
No comeback for Kajol yet
Yesterday, Mirror had reported that Kajol's comeback vehicle, the Hindi version of the 2014 Malayalam hit How Old Are You, has run into a limbo. Her husband Ajay Devgn wanted Ashwini Dheer, of Son of Sardaar fame to helm the project. But the director of the original, Rosshan Andrrews who hold the 'first right' to direct any remake of the film, was not willing to budge.
The latest is that the final round of talks with Andrrews have fallen through and Ajay has finally decided to let go of the project.
Confirming this, Andrrews told Mirror last evening, "I don't know why Ajay sir was so stuck on Dheer. Kumar Mangat (Ajay's confidante) fixed up my meeting with him and I flew down to Mumbai where I had a cordial meeting with Ajay."
When asked why is he so hell-bent on directing the Hindi remake, he explained. "Look, I want this remake to be my Hindi directorial debut. I am confident about its box office prospects. This is the reason I refused to relent. Moreover, Ajay sir hadn't signed on the dotted line when it came to buying the rights, he was merely in advance talks."
Andrrews added, "Now, I am directing the Tamil remake with Jyothika in the lead. Her husband Surya has bought the rights of all the future remakes. We might also collaborate with a studio on the Hindi remake. Besides Ajay, many filmmakers have shown interest in the project and we are hoping to put the Hindi remake on floors soon. And we shall soon make an official announcement."
