When I saw the first few promos of the show I was given a very realistic - every day, regular guy, guy next door feeling of the main lead (Ravi). For the record, I think he's a terrific actor so he can pull rich and middle class acts well.

For this show, I was particularly looking for the guy who exactly was not the foreign return well to do guy, but the average Indian guy setting an example of what a jamai should be in an average Indian household.

How many people are going to relate to him, realistically?

How often are people as well to do as the female lead and her family?

Just saying -

As per all of the SBS segments and all of the before the show videos, it seems like that is exactly what they want to do. However, they needed a story as well for him to show all of the Jamai's true colors and roles. I have a feeling they will be coming out shortly with time. It's going to be a long journey and I hope it is.

Yea youre right, the original movie also had the average middle class guy but i feel like they're also trying to give the idea that rich guys are not all like Krish or Rajveer, but can be simple minded like Siddharth. Even though we know he is a rich business tycoon, he has managed to blindfold a family full of rich people that he is a middle class man because of his simplicity of thought and behaviour. I completely get that most of us cannot relate to his character as Siddharth Khurana but his Siddharth Kukreja side and the track that has been going on for a while now of a "middle class fellow marrying a rich girl" would be relatable. And Roshni's character requires her family to be very well off as she needs to be shown as the girl who has everything except the love she craves if that makes sense? Thats just my opinion anyways 😊
