what is the story of this serial?

I have only seen bits and pieces. who is soumya? and what is the secret they are talking about?

and if yuvraj loved soumya why did he marry suhani?

Suhani, a dusky, simple, Bachchan loving girl. While in her maternal home, she was never made fun or harassed for her color or weight. Believes that love is measured by a person heart not looks.

Soumya, a beautiful and rich girl. She is Suhani best friend, more like sister. Believes that love is measured by how your partner pleases/pamper you.

Yuvraj, a rich, egotistical, internally warm hearted guy. Believes that love is measured by looks, if your pretty then your heart is pretty.

Krishna: a poor guy, Soumya driver son.

Sharad: Yuvraj cousin/best friend, mother side.

Pratima: Yuvraj mother, forget or mistakes peoples names.

Dadi: Yuvraj grandma, father side, hates any thing that is dark and ugly. Perfectionist.

Rags: older bahu of Birla (yuvraj family)

Menka: the youngest bahu, Rags right hand.

Suhani father: banker, has authority to accept or decline bank loans.

Now to the story:

Yuvraj falls for Soumya at first site at a gas station. One day Yuvraj n his mom to a friends engagement, they from the grooms side. The bride to be is Suhani sister. Yuvraj sees Soumya and now has a name to go with her face, which he is unable to forget. He share this with his cousin, sharad. Sharad advises to get on Soumya good side he should befriend Suhani. Yuvraj takes Sharad advice and helps Suhani and her family during Suhani sister wedding. During this Yuvraj mother begins to think Yuvraj likes Suhani and that is why he is helping her out. She not the only one, Soumya also thinks Yuvraj likes Suhani and feeds thought into Suhani head. Suhani begins to like Yuvraj. However, Soumya is hiding a big secret even from her best friend, she and Krishna are in love. After the wedding, Yuvraj mother asks him if he is in love with someone, while he explains his feelings for Soumya, she is thinking about Suhani and gets the names mixed up. She takes the proposal to Suhani house. On the other hand, Soumya mom wants her to get married to a rich guy like Yuvraj. Krishna forces Soumya to think about eloping. On the day of the engagement, yuvraj finds out his mom accidently took the proposal to Suhani house (During the day of the engagement, he buys a necklaces for Soumya thinking it will be his engagement gift, which he had to end up giving to Suhani). He gets engaged to save face but later tells his mom and Soumya, that he loves Soumya and not Suhani. Knowing her mom will says yes to Yuvraj proposal,Soumya doesnt tell Yuvraj she loves someone else. Soumya leads him onto believe she will explain to Suhani family but he needs to go on with it till she gets the right time. During this Krishna emotionally blackmails Soumya to getting married with no one knowing. The day of the wedding, yuvraj calls Soumya and tells her to meet him so they could tells the truth. Soumya ignores his calls and gets ready to elopes with Krishna (Soumya mother finds out that She loves Krishna. Soumya mom threatens to get her married to a rich guy asap). Yuvraj decides he cant wait any longer and he will tell the family himself. He the bumps into Suhani father and he tells him the truth, Suhani father threatens Yuvraj that if he doesnt marry Suhani or hurts her in anyway he wont pass his company bank loan and he will lose his house. On the wedding day Soumya leaves a letter for Suhani explaining everything, her love for Krishna and why she had to run and hide her marriage from her, (I believe she also explains that yuvraj loves her but not sure) and leaves it in the necklace box that Yuvraj gave to Suhani on the day of the engagement. Soumya leaves not to come back. Angry about Suhani fathers threat, he goes to tell Suhani that he loves Soumya not her, he doesnt see her in her room but he see the necklace box (which he gifted to Suhani on the day of the engagement) and throws it, the letter that Soumya wrote to Suhani comes out and he reads it. He goes home and tells his mom he changed his mind he will marry Suhani ( he does not tell anyone its due to Suhani fathers threat except for Sharad). All this time, Dadi who was unable to come for the wedding due to transit issue, thinks yuvraj is getting married to Soumya (yuvraj sends her a pic of Soumya via chat).

Story after marriage,

The next day, Dadi arrives and mistakes Suhani to be a servant of the house. When she finds out Suhani, a dusky girl, yuvraj wife, she is horrified. No one tells Dadi about the mix up between Somuya and Suhani. But Dadi stills blames Pratima for bring Suhani in the house. Yuvraj says getting married to Suhani was his choose. Day goes by Dadi, Rags and Menka try to make Suhani life hell. Yuvraj plans his own revenge against Suhani of giving her nothing but tears (he thinks Suhani is fully aware of Soumya deceit and her fathers threat). However, one day Yuvraj ends up reading Suhani diary and realize Suhani is unaware of everything and is innocent, he begins to befriend her. Then Suhani and Soumya meet each other at a jewerly store and Suhani finds out she married Krishna and is upset with her for hiding it. However, both make up the next day. Yuvraj tries to make Somuya jealous by getting close to Suhani when she around (however, he does have a soft corner for Suhani). He tries to show Soumya what she could have gotten if she had married him. On the other hand, Soumya tries to make her life comfort with her jobless husband until his sister show up and cause small fights between the two. It becomes worse when Krishna parents (his father is good but his mother is as worse as her daughter). Soumya and Krishna fights gets worse. Soumya gets a job and hides it from the family, she says she gets the gift and money from the mother, which makes krishna mom act nice and she begins to side with Soumya (money hungry). Soumya doesnt just lie to her in-laws but to Suhani as well, she tells her Krishna has a great job, he brought her a car, and they soon will move to a big house. Suhani finds out the truth one day about Soumya real financial status and ends up gifting Soumya a AC and TV thru Soumya manager. Soumya finds out and confronts Suhani and tells her she doesnt need her charity and on the way out she bumps into Yuvraj and also confronts him, tell him that she knows he still loves her and he only gets close to Suhani to get her jealous and he needs to get one thing clear she does not love him and she loves Krishna. Dadi hears all this and plans to put all the pieces together, so the next day she goes to Soumya house and Soumya tells her Yuvraj loved her and he only married suhani to get her jealous. Dadi tells Somuya that suhani Intension wasnt to hurt her but help her. The issues between Suhani and Soumya are clear again. However, Dadi plans to find out the truth why and how yuvraj decided to marry Suhani with the help of Rags and Menka. Dadi finds out that Pratima took the proposal to the wrong house. But she is still confused about why yuvraj agreed. She sends a message to Suhani father via Yuvraj phone (she becomes suspicious towards Suhani father when she sees the way yuvraj behaviors towards Suhani father) and shr finds out the truth about the real reason Yuvraj said yes. Suhani calls Soumya and hears that Krishna is yelling at Somuya and gets a bad feeling so she runs to Soumya house and confronts Krishna and his family.

There was so many time, while sitting at home I left the tv on in the background and a show caught my attention. When I went online to find out about the show, its was a year or two into the show and I couldnt find half the video and trying to read written updates is hard because some are usually missing and sometimes it feel like a never ending book with all those filler episode. Even thru some people are nice to review a show (if the show is less or about one year old) many just point to the update archives (which I cant blame them, lol, 2 or more years worth of writing, its hard.)
