Although Manik's actions makes it a bit easy for me to read him, I'm too curious about Harshad right now. The whole 'Band of brothers' history, his 'secret', his past including Mukti...*sigh*.

Harshad Saxena is mystery through and through.

Can't agree with u more. 😳
I want to see what happened between mukti and jerkshad.

Far from being a 'villain', Harshad, to me, has always been this agent of chaos who is going to be the reason the Fab-5 will step out of that self-centred cocoon of theirs and grow. His is the back-story which intrigues me the most, not the random meteor-starfish-flower sci-fi shit that they keep hinting at in the Dhruv-Rishabh story.

This guy grew up with the Fab-5, or at least MAnik and Dhruv. He knows them. He is the one who, when he's in his element, reads Manik the best. I'm dying to know the hows and the whens and the whats of the Band of Brothers. What happened between him and Mukti? Harshad's obsession with revenge has somehow always seemed to stem from a sense of being wronged- it's like he wants to break them up, isolate them, because that's what they did to him. Was it all a terrible misunderstanding? Or was it some selfless act of Manik's gone wrong? (You never know with the Baba and his idiocy, *sigh*). Does he know about Dhruv and his attacks? And I still think Harshad went soft with Cabir. He could have simply released that video without telling anyone about it, and watched the collapse happen. Instead he told Cabir: love or Fab5, choose. Didn't Mukti face the same choice with him once? & isn't Manik in the somewhat same dilemma now? Intriguing.

I always got the impression that Harshad does not enjoy the pain of others like the Fab5 did in their bullying days. On different occasions he has shown himself to be sensitive, helpful and conscientious towards others. But this veneer of civilisation simply drops when it comes to the Fab5. Now that level of hate can only arise when you believe yourself to be in the right. So, the question remains, just what had happened back then, dammit? I want to know so bad. I don't know if Harshad is going to self-destruct in this single-minded quest for revenge, but I do think he's perfectly aware of his goals and NH3, his music, even his sister, everything of his own is now only a means to this end. Which is...worrying. I quite like the guy.

Let's just say, we're on the same page when it comes to him sistaah. 😆 Harshad has been the character I've come to love after Nandu right from the beginning. I knew there's much more to him than a good-looking knight in shining jackets. 😆

My theory was confirmed when I saw the little smirk playing on his lips and the twinkle in his eyes while sipping his coffee and listening to Navya talking about how Manik's torturing Nandu by making her his 'spot'- it was an expression of a plan already formed in his head.

Another thing is, Harshad knows Manik like no one does- neither Dhruv nor anyone else. Nandini have come the closest to knowing him but Harshad knows this guy INSIDE OUT. I doubt if he knows Dhruv that well and I agree that the separation could have well been a result of Manik's idiocy. 😆

Remember his equivocation when he was driving- right after Nandu announced that she has been freed? He couldn't believe that Manik freed her so easily because he didn't just had an inkling, he already knew by then that the man was obsessed with Nandini- that's how well he knows Manik! And so, in order to prove his theory to himself- he attached crackers to Nandu's kurti but once again, he got two bonuses- 1. he saw Dhruv jumping inside the pool to save her and 2. he concluded that Cabir is hiding something as he took the blame for the incident.

Moreover, he's a very good judge when it comes to people in general. He knows the diff b/w Nandu and Navya and treats them accordingly. He have always spoken in a very respectful manner with Nandini (except after the performance). His comment "Mahaan nahin, samajhdaar hain" regarding her was proof of that!

@Bold COULDN'T AGREE MORE!! 👏 👏

Shelly,
Thanks for the post, sorry that I haven't been replying to your posts for a while but I do read them though. What can I say I have been so emotional this entire week and my eyes are still so puffy and red from crying so much and not being able to sleep. I have mentioned this before that I have a chronic disease which is MaNania, it is not going to get out of my system so soon. That is how much they affect my life and how much I love them. Just too addicted and obsessed!!!

OMG, you are also a big fan of Harry Potter, I love Harry Potter, actually I watched all the movies just two weeks ago!!! I am so glad that the similarities of my KY2 forum members match so much!!! A big hug to you for your awesome posts 🤗!!!

Love KY2 and especially MaNan to the core!!!

Team shehar, still working, I am happy for them 😆 😉.
I will cut my melodrama, here itself. Okay.
no one in this show is neither completely good nor completely bad, including neonika.
If nandini is my most favorite character, then harshad is my most
interesting character of the show, I may get angry on Nandu sometimes, but never on
harshad. 😆.but I am tired with cvs, I want his flashback story soon.

I think without meaning to he has played a catalyst, causing a chain of events to take place.

One of the main themes about this show is the choices the characters make, not their inherent goodness or badness. Harshad's choices in the beginning were ultimately proved for the good. He is not a bad guy or a villain. He is human, thus insufferably flawed. It does not excuse his behavior, but it places it in a context of his intentions. Most of the characters on KY2 are shades of gray, except maybe Nandini. But, I'd say Harshad is a deep charcoal burning bright and red with vengeance. I think a most revealing exchange about his character is the memories of "band of brothers". It shows that there is probably a wound there that has been festering long enough to undo him in order to capitulate revenge on Fab5. He is mean, often cruel, brash, and manipulative, but he is also desperate. What I've seen of him lately it has called desperation for some kind of retribution. Even though every attempt of his has foiled lately, I am that much more wary of him. I am wary because when you push a man into a corner, he either retaliates or cowers. Harshad isn't one to cower. He is a desperate, heartsick man, who has a serious attraction to darkness, he wants to shatter the very existence of Fab5, his staunch enemy. He wishes to emerge as a winner at any cost because it will help him reprieve some of the resentment and fury he harbors within.

His past relation with Mukti, his considerable efforts to help Navya/Nandini, and his silenced notorious past-- the tangle of conflicting emotions tells me he is more complex and more guarded than any character on KY2. There is much more to Harshad than just his discourteous veneer.

SPOT ON you are! 👏 👏 👏

I remember Nandini once pointing out that Manik is 'filled with anger', if only she'd have observed Harshad that closely she'd realize that this man is full of hatred with an undying thirst for vengeance.

Adhira once pointed out that in case of MukShad, Harshad might have actually fallen for Mukti in the process- that's assuming that he tricked her to get back to Fab 5. And by Mukti's flashback, it was clear that it was Manik and Aalya who informed her of Harshad's cheating ways.

Mukti chose to believe them over Harshad, Harshad had already lost his friendship with Manik- either ways, he has been at the receiving end of loss, hence the hatred?

And the fact that he doesn't see NH3 members as his 'friends' is so telling- he just wanted to create an army to defeat Fab 5, not with their talent but with mind-games- that explains him choosing Nandini amongst so many students!

He was very much present in the college last year when Fab 5 won Musicana but back then he didn't have the right people to choose from as everyone was shit scared of Fab 5. Nandini had shown bravery and he knew he had to get her in his band somehow.

Completely agree with you on him being THE most guarded character in KY2!

Terrific post! This week will definetly be a critical week for all the characters including Harshad. i feel like if he does continue down the path of obsession and destruction without showing his caring side he may soon become not redeemable, which is sad.

I really like that no one is really black or white on this show and i hope they maintain that with him. He can become an unintentional cupid for MANAN, he can show his love for his sister, his care for Mukti or his affection for Navya but the CVs need to make sure that before he continues on his journey to ruin Manik and Fab5 the show that he is more than just 'the villan.'😊
