I read and re-read and re-re-read the two parts. No three. I'd missed three. I actually had tears in my eyes at the last one. Undoubtedly part 56 is the most ferocious one and part 57 is the most heart breaking one. But for me part 58, "the long road to recovery", was the totally sentimental one.
I have experienced how difficult it is to get back to life post such trauma. Not like this, but mom of one of my friends had to undergo something similar due to medical complications. Thankfully she recovered. But the process was painful. It is painful for that person, no doubt. But more heart wrenching for the near ones. They have to see the struggle. They have to see and help the shadow of a person, they know (know what he/she is capable of) to find their feet.
My friend's mom had to be taught to eat, walk, read, write everything all over again. The process is trying re. After meeting her, I used to have sleepless nights. They say old age is a second childhood. But nobody expects something like this re. I can't explain it.
Our once vibrant Jodha, has been pushed to a state of a "patient". But she has the support of her family, her friends but most n most her man. Jalal is her Rock of Gibraltar. You see, never once he's treated her as a patient. He's coddling her but not embarrassing her.
That creep of a professor needs to be punished severely. In Indian culture, teacher-student relationship is something like a father-child one. This excuse for a man reduced that precious relationship to the state of a lust driven crazed obsession. I generally do not use swear words. But I was using the vilest of them (in my mind of course 😛) when I was reading it.
But Jalal has again won me over Lash. This man is for keeps. And most certainly he's fictitious. I don't think the Almighty has created somebody like him yet. But if He reads your story, who knows, the production might come along soon. 😆
Btw, I seriously think you gotta make this a 65 part one and not conclude in 60. Trust me, this is not a fan talking. But at 60, there is hardly any space left for you to wind up properly, giving them their due. Don't short change your readers.. 😊
Love you..
PS - Next part kabhi??
