Come October, and its festival season in India. The season begins with the colourful Navratri festival—celebrated with fervour & fun spread across nine sparkling nights. While the debate is heating up on Navratri timings, to end by 10.00 p.m. or not, Balaji Telefilms decided to bring television's biggest, brightest and most popular stars right into your homes to celebrate Navratri, at a time that is most convenient to all. Balaji's Star Parivaar Dandiya Dhoom will present the Virani family (of Kyunki Saas…), the first family of Indian television, hosting these mega dandiya raas celebrations with the stars from the Star Parivaar. For the first time Star Plus audiences will see all their favourite stars dancing to the rhythmic beats of the dandiya raas in the best of their ghagra-cholis and finery.
On Sunday October 2, 7 p.m. the entire glitterati of small screen will descend to create a glamorous event specially put together for the viewers. Daksha (Ketki Dave) will dance to the beautiful dandiya number from Kal Ho Na Ko with Savita (Apra) and Gayatri (Komolika), while Charu (Surveen) & Akshat (Chaitanya) from Kahin To Hoga will " balle balle" to the popular song from Gurinder Chadda's Balle Balle from Amritsar to LA. There's Kavya (Eijaz) and Anjali (Natassha) dancing to "ankhon ki gustakiya…Shruti (Tina), Gayatri (Rupali Ganguly), Kamal (Ali Asghar) and Sameer (Amir Ali) all from Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. While Mohini (Tasneem Sheikh) will sizzle on the screen with her "husn ki lakh rang…" a la Padma Khanna from Johnny Mera Naam and a standing ovation for Baa's (Sudha Shivpuri) adorable performance that matches Waheeda Rehman's inimitable dancing style in the evergreen "kaanton se keech ke anchal" from the film Guide.

While the stars descend there's no holding the viewers back. But if any of you are not already a part of this mega event then here's your last chance to join the foot-tapping numbers like "just chill out…dus bahane…& naiyyo naiyyo…with Prerna (Sweta Tiwari), Misha (Ashwini), Tanya (Rakshanda Khan), Swayam (Vikas Seth), Rishi (Shabbir Alhuwalia) and Sasha (Chetan). The viewers will put their hands together for the scheming twosome from Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Indronil (Sikander) and Komolika (Urvashi) as they dance to the popular "what is your mobile no" in a typical Govinda-Karishma style. There's Kesar (Nandini) and Rudr (Nikhil Arya) dancing to the tune of "dhole dharo" and Kashish and Sujal romancing to "silsila yeh chahat ka…"

The grand finale will of course be the Jeetendra making a special appearance with the entire parivaar adding that extra zing to the entire evening.
