No Anu she doesn't want to be freed from pretense. If you look at Durga's character she doesn't want to face the emotional turmoil. She doesn't want to get close to anyone beyond a point. She keeps an emotional distance with everything. Something similar to Sakshi does. Emotional detachment.
Does she love Payal. Yes she cares, but her actions to help her are more out of guilt
Does she love Dev Again she cares , but her actions here is also more out of guilt
Does she love Dayal She respects but then it is more of gratitude for helping her
Does she love herself answer is big no. She doesn't because she has stopped living and have stopped loving life for what it is
But if her identity is exposed she has to make a choice, a choice whether to live or not. She has to answer Dev whether she loves him or not. One way or the other she has to answer.
She has to answer Payal. Whether her Nithya di will be by her side. In other words if her identity is exposed she has to live, live for the people who love her. She has to value them. She has to start loving life once again which she had no plans to do.
