its by hrishikesh mukherjee and is a very funny movie..its abt this workaholic geeky guy amol palekar who dsnt spend time with his lovely wife parveen babi..so his friend deven verma convinces him to flirt with his secretary deepti naval, knowing tht he is a very decent guy who dsnt even look at her face..the sec has a boyfriend farooq sheikh..the flirting starts following the plot of pati patni aur woh, in a twisted way..because amol palekar is essentially a decent chap, all the things he shares with his sec, he goes back home and does with his wife..wife is super happy..then sec's boyfriend tells her the plot of her boss and she tells wife everything..there begins a comedy of errors..its hilarious..and amazing acting by the starcast..a total feel-good movie..
