This post I am putting because when I saw the news yesterday EHT is ending in Dec I was upset and I could see everyone in the forum also upset. But when I went home and thought I felt what I really want with a movie or a show. Let it be not great. Let there be loopholes. But what I always want is after watching a movie or a TV show I want it to linger. I want to remember the beautiful scenes and go online watch it again and again.
It can only happen when I am still enjoying the show or a movie. EHT is presently that for me. Yes when it ends there will be loopholes. But nevertheless when I look back I will always remember the scenes I wanted to remember
- Beautiful Divya Bagchi track
- Durga taking down Ganguly
- Shaurya getting beaten up
- Durga caring for Payal
Even some romantic scenes like Dev taking the locket, Devga coming down the stairs, most of Devga confrontation and even yesterday's epi and most of all Sakshi Goenka. The character that has left a lasting impression on me.
Yes all these will linger and I might watch some of the epi online also. And whenever I think about EHT only the beautiful memories will come in. Show has achieved awards all round. So it is recognized. I am happy about that. And maybe I hope that they make the remake of EHT in Malayalam. With no so much rush for TRPs it can be well created in Malayalam with a strong script. If it is created I will definitely watch it.
But on a nutshell I would say end it when the going is good and as a viewer let me be satisfied. Everything cannot be perfect but let there be beauty in imperfection also.
I am writing this post because there was a time I had loved DABH. A time when I couldn't miss one epi of it. A time when I watch old epi multiple times online. Will watch repeat as well as dubbing in Tamil. I was crazy about it. But today I watch the epi just like that. Don't even feel like watching the epi which I had loved like anything. That uniqueness is gone. I don't want EHT in that category.
So I am thanking SP in one way. By ending it they will ensure I cherish EHT as one of my favourite shows.

Well I agree we should remember good memories.
But it does hurt if potential goes waste and story just wraps up haphzardly. Already it was being butchered from last 2 months. Too many loopholes and loose ends are not palatable.

@Anu yes the potential should have been realized. But let us be thankful EHT happened. For me maybe it didn't get the best treatment.
But if it can pave way for better shows which I guess will happen that itself is EHTs victory.
For e.g before DABH happened there was no working bahu, but I guess there are now shows where female lead is working or has aspirations.
Veera survived for close to 1 year just with child artists and a woman abandoned by her husband struggling on her own to bring them up. It took a long for Veera to be in TRP top 10. But its timeslot 10:30 pm saved it I guess
Now we have Udaan which traces the journey of a child and it is doing good TRP wise also.
So a start has been made and people who have observed EHT know that there is a audience for such show. They will analyze the failure and maybe position the shows better latter.
