Happy New Year showed huge growth on its second Saturday and Sunday to gross around 20 crore nett in its second weekend and take its ten day total to close to 154 crore nett.

The approx collections for the second weekend are are as follows.

Friday - 4,25,00,000

Saturday - 6,75,00,000

Sunday - 9,25,00,000

TOTAL - 20,25,00,000

The growth on the second Saturday and Sunday was huge even compared to many other big grossers. It means the film has been well appreciated by the family audiences and this likely trend will be repeated in third weekend. There are holidays in certain states on Tuesday and Thursday which should give collections an extra boost in various circuits and the week could go towards 35 crore nett.

135 first week + 35 second week. = 170. HNY will get no scope once Shaukeens releases, as it will take more than 70% of screens. At a best case scenario, HNY can touch ETT at 186. That is, on a best case scenario.

BOI's lifetime figure is heading towards around 175 crores Hindi version. Producer's figure, all language versions, may touch 200 crores though.
