Friendship and Love.
Aren't they the most beautiful bonds and feelings ever? And dangerous too, isn't it?
If one gives you reason to live then the other gives you reason to smile.
If one makes you responsible then the other allows you to be as carefree as a butterfly.
If one is your family then the other is your anchor.
If one holds your broken-self then the other makes sure to glue it back to perfection.
If one promises to never leave you alone then the other promises to be with you forever.
They both are the most strongest pillar one can ever have, but when did the foundation retained its strength on a single pillar?
It's bound to crash down, not alone; of course, it will take away the beauty of everything around it.
I can never thank writers enough to have such sensible brains to maintain the characters, every single character of the show to perfection. Just when I thought that the show may lose its charm since the leap of faith of characterization was too much for me to handle, they come up with something and voila, the show is back to what it was. Amazing.
In spite of many disappointed and aggressive faces I can see myself as being a happy and contended soul after seeing today's episode. It was nothing less than perfection. Nothing less than Life.
Balance is something that is needed in life always. If one side starts weighing a bit more then it's destruction that awaits us. There will be a time when the limit will exceed and whatever was there on the more prioritize side will scatter with such a force that it will take eons to get it back. Together.
This is missing trait in every character of the show - balance. No one has balance between anything in life and if they have then they are as good as any saint and contended soul to walk upon earth but isn't that what life is all about - To create balance.
Cabir. He is the guy who, in the spur of moment and weakness, weighed the Love side of balance more, resulting in what? Disconnection with friends? He, who couldn't even walk up to his friends to tell them of his sexuality is now standing in front of his friend shouting at him for his wrong judgment. Did he ever realized that this' was the friend who always had his back, who supported him no matter how hurt he himself was. It's going to cost him nothing but his love for weighing it more than needed to find the balance in life. It will take him a hard road of thorns to realize that too much of anything is dangerous in itself.
Mukti. She is a girl stuck between her past and friends. Where I don't blame her for anything I do think had she confided in her family like friends then maybe... maybe moving on from the past would have been easier for her. And just like that, her preference to her past, her preference of being stuck over there and not moving on had cost her a dear friend.
She lost and learnt her lessons. She grew up; she took step ahead to lift down some of the weigh of her past. She decided to be brave, to handle all the hurdles face on. She is now going ahead and seeking out the lost balance in her life.
Alya. This is the girl who made her world with two elements namely friends and infatuation. Yes infatuation and not love. Yes, agreed, love is fighting, love is forgiving but love does also trust which wasn't there. She is so blinded in her infatuation that she fails to see that she is pushing her friend towards black hole. Yes, I am not saying that it's completely her fault since the kind of signals Nandini was sending those days could get anyone in doubt but couldn't she just check thoroughly before getting Dhruv so confident? Her idea of love is eons away from reality, in a fairytale land. Yes, when it comes to friendship she knows the reality hence her clinging up to her infatuation more. She is still in her denial to accept that life could be harsh and rough too. She wishes to life that picture perfect life. What will this take away from her? Her individuality.
Dhruv. Oh boy, so scarred he is that he has confined himself in a dark zone that consists of his fears and wish to have a perfect future. He never had any kind of balance in his life. It was either of the sides with him. Earlier it was fear. Fear of being rejected. Fear of being ridiculed. Fear of staying unloved. Fear of loneliness. Fear of imperfection.
He needed a little push and pull in right direction to let go of it. Where Nandini guided him the way, Alya pushed him on the way and the end result. His fears were long forgotten and now he is clinging onto perfection. For him Nandini is perfection. A girl full of life, who doesn't have problem with his attacks, who loves him, albeit in a friend zoned manner, who knows how to care. She is a girl who spreads light in his darkest sky making him come out of his passive zone. And now it's hard for his to leave her, to not cling upon her. What is he paying for it? Maybe the existing imperfect perfection he has.
Manik. He is the guy whose sole pillar of life was his friends. Fab5. He never needed the second pillar for his baggage, his hurt; his pain was more than enough to act as a pillar for him. He who is handling his world on a single pillar tends to look after the pillar so that it doesn't get shattered. He went and looked after the pillar so much, so much that he himself forgot that there is also a small and thin pillar to balance his world - himself. He forgot that he also needs to look after himself, his happiness too. There is nothing bad in caring for your friends but to the extent that they get dependent on you, loose out their individuality and start expecting you to sacrifice every damn thing for their happiness is wrong on every single level.
But he did exactly that and now he is paying the price of it - his happiness.
Balance is something we all need in life because if we do not have it, we'll be destroyed in such a manner that even time may find it hard to heal us let alone life.
But is an imbalanced life the end?
Isn't there a way out of it?
Does one always have to pay the price?
Can he not just learn without withering like leaves in autumn?
I don't think so it's a compulsion.
Manik and Nandini. They are moth and fire. Water and Ice. Love and Hate. Life and Fate. Is it possible for them not to clash? Is it possible for one of them to not be destroyed? Will they ever go ahead un-scarred?
If yes, then I refuse. Refuse to recognize it as love. Refuse to believe their feeling as pure. Refuse to see them as the soul mates.
There is no love without angst. No life without being scarred. No journey to find your soul mate without crushing yourself down.
Manik crushed himself today for his friend. For someone who gave him the reason to live. For a person who is his confident, his buddy, his brother.
Will he take away his own life for his friend's happiness?
Most probably yes.
Can he hurt the person who lightened up his dark world?
Most definitely no.
Can he forget his stars?
Confirmed. No.
Yes, he broke down. Yes, he went weak. Yes, he made mistake. Yes, he was being a dork to take decision on Nandini's behalf.
But can we not see one thing, he is also human being. Even he is entitled to commit mistakes. Not every time he can be correct, right? How is he suppose to handle this newfound dilemma where his best friend earnestly ask for the only thing he treasures?
Yes, he made mistake. Yes, he is wrong. He can do anything; he can break himself down to pieces but not Nandini. Never Nandini.
Because no matter how hard a writer tries, he can never tear down the book he cherish the most.
