I am happy about one thing in the serial - Akbar has become truly king like and not roaming around Harem like its chief warden - Gone are the days that the only activity he indulged was singing Jodha's hunars 😃. After Salim's birth, the majesticity and imperialism has returned to Jalal.

This post is about a reportedly 9 year old Salim who along with other kids is learning some A,B,C D like we say in Tamil aana, aavana.😆

The historians record reveals that Mughal Princes education begin as early as 3.5 or 4.

Babur was so ahead he used to recite complex persian poems at the age of 5 - Infact verses, languages and poems remained his one of his foremost loves throughout his life.

Humayun's love for books and Libraray does not need to be quoted - His interest in Arts and books again strated from his very young age.

Akbar ... Well was different - Hamara Jallu of course had the innate intelligence which was infinite.

Jahangir was very well learnt - Abul Fazl was one his early tutors. He was also sent to Haldighatti battle when he was 7. It cannot be true that he is getting afraid of Sword at the age of 9.

On top of it, he is stammering to talk one full sentence in Hindi ( Shuddh, the Jodha wala one).

They are showing Salim to be totally weak again, meant for only Love matters, romance etc. But he was also a multi faceted personality in addition to being a good warrior. He did not lose any battle and infact made Rajputs completely surrender to him, which Akbar himself could not do, thanks to MP.

Kings have to shown as Kings , however one wishes to focus on Love story - In fact for all of us, it is a matter of learning that Mughal Princes learnt so many things so early in life - Languages like [Turk, Persian, Hindustani(Hindi) and Urdu], warfare, arts, literature simultaneously at such a young age - It talks a great deal about monarchy in general and Mughal Culture in Particular.

I feel that this Salim is so goody goody with a weak characterization just to prove that he is dilwala, like they massacred Initial Jalal to be dimaag wala - Extremes.

Jay I agree with ur point abt Salim being shown as weak...He was not so weak at all...may be not so much an achiever as Jallu but not a loser either...and Chittor was not won as such...It was a treaty of mutual respect...
As far as Jallu's characterisation is concerned I totally disagree with you...He has ended up looking like a weak man who leaves his wife in her most crucial moment and runs away...Being strong does not mean taking a sword in hands and killing thousands of ppl...or screaming or shouting...I think strength of character makes one strong and this is what this new Jalal lacks...The love story is dead and no matter how many words of love he mouths now , they are fake...
