I don't know how many of you felt it. But yesterday when Durga bought that father's day cake for Dev and seeing his happiness I really felt for the child in him who might have never known what is father's love and somewhere in his heart still yearns for it.
If what we believe is true that tape indeed has something related to Arnab Goenka then Arnab died 25 years back. So what age Dev would have been. Maximum 4 years or maybe less than that.
So he has just grown up with a image of this father whatever his mother told and maybe others who knew Arnab Goenka told. But would have never known how it feels when your dad takes you out for a ride, how it feels when he buys you a ice cream, how it feels to be in his lap. None of the happiness that a father provide to his son this young man wouldn't have received. As Raj I don't think treated him like his son.
So somewhere in his dream world this child would have created a connect with his Papa. That his Papa is there, loves him and always there for him. And him celebrating Father's day on his Papa's b'day would have been one of the ways he connected with his Papa who he lost as a child.
Really it is very painful for a child to grow up without Papa or Mama at a young age. Even if they grow up somewhere that yearning will be still in them to feel that love that is deprived for them.
Nithya was never deprived. She had her parents and then lost them. Where as Dev as a person has been deprived of his father. The pain of loss is more there and it is something that is very personal for them. A part of their heart which they never want others to see than those they think are very close to them. Because it is a vulnearability which a person would want to hide than expose.
Dev for me still yearns for that love. There is still a child in him who had never known father's love. If Rajnath indeed killed Arnab he has to pay for the sin he committed to a little boy.

Worse kind of orphans are these well off ones who do have one parent. I say this because they are never able to detach or harden like a Sakshi yet never normal like routine kids. They lie somewhere in between.
Dev has been betrayed by one he always called Chote papa. He kept giving him respect despite increasingly learning his reality.

It will be a blow to him once he learns killer was with them all along.

Rajnath is surely connected to Arnab's death.

Durga has now lost her parents too.

But I want to see them bond over Nitya's parents too. I am unable to connect much with them because of lack of background. It is also odd that both are in each other's bedroom or kitchen in flashbacks and neither's family had any problem with it? How did conservative Mitras not object? Nor status conscious Goenkas?
I want to know how Dev became friends with driver's family. Enough of bonding shown by now to establish they are thick friends turned lovers.

@Anu Nithya- Dev FB is on lines of Parineeta. If you see that movie Lolitha walked out of Shekhar's room without any issues. None of the families had any issues. Maybe since child hood a trust was build on.
But having said that there are many layers that are left unanswered in this story. Hence lot of loose ends.
If my assumption is right Payal rape case will be reopened. And when the fight starts second time Devga will be together.
But Goenka's wont sit quiet. They will make every attempt to discredit Dev and Durga that might include accusing Dev wanting the empire, character assassination of Durga anything extreme you can think of.
So the war of justice will be blown out on war on empire is my take. And as Devga will have to prove each accusation wrong they will be forced to dig the past and what seems simple will then appear to complex as the layers are removed.
I strongly feel whether it is Nithya's parents or Dev's parents and even Dr Dayal they are all not white and there will be grey shades for them unknown to Dev and Durga. It is in the course of the battle these truths will come out that can rattle Devga both morally and emotionally as the images in front of them will crash.
Dealing with these emotions only they will have to win the war of justice as they will have only each other for support. If shown well it can be the most challenging and beautiful journey for a couple on Indian Television or you can say one of the best. I hope CVs do justice.

Before war and all I want to see past of Nitya. Her parents and their relationship with Goenkas.

Rest of it is predicable with accusations flying all over.
