Hello Folks,😊
READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Well, the episode today was by-far better than the last few. I, for one, was smiling through most of it mainly because of all those kids around. Though there is still one thing that really irked me.
The episode starts with Salim cleaning the bird's wound when Murad came there with Haider. This did go the same way as the Siddhartha-Devdutt story, one of my favourite childhood stories, I mentioned yesterday with Salim claiming that the bird was his as he had saved it and Murad claiming it to be his as he was the one who had hunted it and he was backed by Javeda's son here. I want to say that the kid playing Murad talks like Gabbar. When he said ye pakshi hame de do bhaijaan, he reminded me of Gabbar's famous dialogue ye haath mujhe dede thakur. 😆
Shifting to the practice area where Jalal and Rahim are practicing sword fighting. This was a well shot scene.Ok, it was funny as well as cute to hear Jalal call Rahim beta. It seemed weird hearing this from him.😛All the kids come to Jalal and ask him to solve their problem. He says that since Salim saved the bird it was his as maarne waale se bachane wala bada hota hai. If Murad had killed it, then it would have been his. Jodha comes there and says that as all of them were brothers so they shouldn't fight among themselves. It is Late Shehenshah Humayun's birthday so all the kids go to tidy themselves and get ready for tula-daan. Jodha stops him and chides him for rolling around in the mud and dirtying his clothes. What really struck me here was Jodha's partiality towards Salim. Wasn't Murad her son too. Ok he was being brought up by Salima but still he was her son. But she only noticed that Salim needed a bath. To me, both JJ came across as biased parents. It was as if only Salim mattered to them and no other child of theirs. (Only Murad is here for now.) As a proof of their biasedness, we see Murad really pissed with his father for always siding with his elder brother and preferring him over Murad himself. It is making him feel ignored. Salima pacifies him and explains to him that it's not so and Jalal had taken the right decision as Murad was wrong in this case. Besides Salim is his elder brother and the crown prince as well so he should respect him. Not only Murad but Javeda's son is also considerably mad at Jalal for his decision. He gets a resounding slap from his mother for insulting Jalal . He glares at her a la Adham. Mini- Adham he is. I wonder how he turned out so considering Javeda is so polite and soft-spoken. He sees Jalal as the culprit. As the one responsible for not having his father and grandma with him.
Jodha takes Salim for his bath. He says that he had it in the morning then what is the need for him to go for it again but she takes him nonetheless. He sits there having his bath and asks his moher as to why she scolded him when he was right. She advises him to be patient with his little brother and not raise his hand on him. Jodha is getting ready for tula-daan rasam when Jalal comes there and applies a kala tikka behind her ear to ward off any buri nazar.😉 (Not to worry Mr. Shehenshah as your BIL is not here now). He says that he was proud of the wayhis Sheiku Baba had saved the bird and that he thought from his dil. They have a cute banter about who had Salim taken after with Jodha saying that how come if he does something good he is his son and if he is being naughty, he is Jodha's son. Jalal says he looks like him and Jodha counters him saying he may look like you but his swabhaav is like mine. Jodha gives him 3 reasons to prove that Salim had indeed taken after her. One, he gave more importance to his dil. Two, she had also saved a bird like this back in Amer. And third, she had saved the deer Ruk had wanted to hunt. Jalal then agrees and says HAMARA Sheiku Baba AAP par gye hai. (Btw, Jalal and Jodha had new dresses. )
Ruk comes there with a dress and jewellery she specially got made for Salim. But Salim insisits on wearing the one given to him by his own mother as it is his favourite. Ruk is seen smirking again like an idiot. Her love and concern was so fake. She says ye shehzaade hai. Jo dil chaahe wo karne ki azaadi hai inhe. Allah inhe buri nazar se bachaaye.🤢
We see HB praying for her late husband's sukoon and SB comes there. She inquires about her grandson who comes running to her and hugs her. He sees tears in his grandma's eyes and asks her if anyone had done gustaakhi with her and if that is so he himself will punish that person. HB says that when he is there with her, how can anyone hurt her? Salim says he will always be with her and care for her and understands that she is missing his dadajaan that's why she is upset. He very innocently and cutely says that when he grows up, he will marry her. This makes everyone laugh. When HB says that it's not possible as daadi-pote can't get married, he again asks that why his father can marry his ammijaan but he cannot marry his father's ammijaan? And then says to Jodha that you only said that wives cook for their husbands and make laddoos for them and as dadijaan does all that so why can't he marry his daadijaan? (Already thinking of getting married hmm, Sheiku Baba?😉) HB says she may not be alive by the time he reaches a marriageable age and Salim says he will never let her go. ( I so missed my dadi during this scene. She has put up with all my odd demands and stupid questions when I was a kid)😊
Then comes tula-daan. Murad and Haider are glaring at Salim when he is being weighed. Murad expresses his wish to be weighed as well when Salima pacifies him saying it's not his turn now.
MS suddenly has a moustache. It was so evident that it is a fake. He looked really funny.😆 Anyway, Jalal sends Salim with MS and Rahim to distribute zakkat. Salim is out there doing just that when he hears music. He starts following it. He reaches that place and goes inside leaving Rahim outside. I didn't like what followed. Some girls are dancing and Anarkali is one of them. Rahim stands there smiling and pleasantly surprised at what he is seeing. For a moment I thought he looked besotted if that's even possible for a child to look like that. It remains to be seen if it's a start of friendship or childhood romance. 😕(I love this boy's toothy grin btw 😃)
Sorry for the long post guys. I just went on and on.
