Raman's behavior - from a husband's POV! - Page 2

I agree Raman can never be compared with Param who is sick mentally and considers women as objects of desire. To him, they are nothing more than a commodity with no regard to their personality or dignity. A sober Raman would never have acted like this. In his drunken stupor, he had no control over his behavior or his actions. The minute he sobers up a little he immediately realizes what he has done and understands the ramifications to an extent where he rushes out in search of her. By all means he is still a human who is flawed and really has to put a cap on his drinking habit. He goes after alcohol at the drop of a hat and uses that to drown his pains. He should know that it only goes so far and the minute he sobers up all of that pain and heart ache is going to come back all over again. It really does not solve any purpose at all other damaging his internal organs. His parents really should have a word with him about his drinking. My gripe with the CVs is that they have made him like a yo-yo where one day he is strong and wants to face the bull by the horn and the other day he cries and seeks the support of alcohol. Why is he made to look weak? He was weak with Shagun where his self esteem was low and he was not sound monetarily now that he has all of it why can't he face the situation head on?

plus raman has a past where his wife did leave him for a more attractive and successful man...and she was having a physical equation with her lover.

Even a normal husband would start doubting his trustworthy wife if ever he comes across such closeness of her with another guy...and here Raman already has such experiences. So its quite natural for him to doubt Ishita.

I only wished that he directly spoke to her about Mani rather than pointing fingers on her character and vaguely accusing her. She is been shown ignorant and dumb to all his accusing hints.

And as u said, he could have easily forced himself on her if he really wanted to but then he didnt. I felt it was more of a spur of the moment, an angry out pour of his unrequited emotions but in such a bizarre manner!

There is no justification of his 'animalistic' behavior.

husband or not, Jealous or not, he has no right to force himself on her.

Had ishita not pushed him away & ran away, he would have definitely gone too far.

I haven't compared him to param, nor I will. Neither I am calling him a rapist (heck! no).

But I am not okay with how he behaved yesterday. And what is wrong, is wrong!
