Last season, there was an incident were Armaan passed an indecent comment on Elli. Elli didnt like it and went away and cried in the bathroom.
Many on this forum and by many, i mean like 90% of the posters, raised a hue and cry about how it is abuse/harassment...some even equated it to rape. Some demanded tht an "MCP" like Armaan should be thrown out.
Coming to this season, a man touches another female contestant's feet, under the blanket...(Ali accepted it himself) and am surprised to see comments like "when she let Upen and Gautam sleep on her bed, whats wrong with Ali groping her?"
Like seriously? Where are the moral police from last year? Why have they chosen to stay quiet on such an important issue?
IMO, Sonali can flirt with Upen or Gautam or whoever it is...for footage or for whatver...she is an adult. She is responsible for her own actions.
But what Ali did was wrong bytaking this as a chance...by touching her inappropriately. And what else? He accepted that he did it.
And Sonali stretching the matter? Yes, why shouldnt she? This man who she wasnt even interested in touched her indecently. And just coz she is close to Upen and Gautam, she has no right to raise her voice against it?
As Purva ji mentioned, Ali had no remorse. He apologized just for the sake of it.
So IMO, the punishment tht Ali got was nothing. The man was WRONG. Period. Irrespective of Sonali's nature or her equation with Upen or Gautam.
