Manik climbed up the ladders and entered the room only to find that Nandini was already asleep. He looked at his watch.

He went out of the room to check on Rishab who was also asleep. He then tucked Nandini in the blanket properly and just sat there adoring her. He kissed her forehead and was turning to leave when Nandini in her sleep caught hold of his hands. Manik also entwined her fingers with his and made her comfortable by lying down with her head on his shoulders.

I really don't know what is wrong with you today but if it has something to do with our secret relation I promise to make it alright Nandini. But please don't remain like this. It kills me when I see your face dull.
Nandini stirred in her sleep and Manik became cautious that he might have woken up as she was blabbering something in her sleep. Manik thought that she is uncomfortable and tried moving away but she clanged more to him and hugged him more and slowly blabbered.
Nandini: I...I can't tell Manik but how do I tell Dhruv that I don't love him...He proposed me but I can't tell it to Manik that Dhruv proposed me...he will break his friendship and I know Fab 5 is so important to him...I can't tell manic...air appa...
Manik was shocked.He really did not know what to do. So this was the reason Nandini was sad. But how can Dhruv love Nandini. He is my best buddy. He knows me so well and understands me. So can't he see that I love Nandini? No this is not correct. This is not right. I need to go.
Saying this he kept a pillow beside Nandini and left the house slowly.
He went to his car. He looked at his watch-it was 3 in the morning.
Manik: I cannot go to Dhruv right now and talk about this.
So he just drove the car.

How can Dhruv love Nandini know he liked Nandini from the beginning but...How is it possible...He is my buddy and the most important part of my life. We have always shared our deepest secrets and worries with each other. And it's not just about me. Nandini regards Dhruv as a good friend only. Hasn't he seen that? He's friends of both of us and yet he cannot figure out that Nandini and I are so much into each other.
It's my entire fault. I should have revealed about our relation but I can't let Fab 5 break...HE stops the car and comes out in a park like place and sits on the top of the bonnet looking at the sky.
How could Dhruv propose Nandini and not tell me about it?

He was just looking aimlessly feeling completely lost and broken. Just then a small girl of 10 years probably came and sat beside him.
Girl: offo...I told Dada yesterday that this flower does not grow in such condition. See just in one day the flower has died. And the same flower is growing at the other side. This big people I tell you.Someday their stubbornness and stupid demand will land them in big trouble.
This caught Manik's attention he looked in the front and the girl was right.
He saw many flowers blooming at one side and a small flower had died. The same flower had bloomed on the other side but this flower was dead at this particular side.
Girl talked to Manik
Girl: you are also wondering right why this flower is dead. Let me tell you. Actually Na this flower is also like us. They need to be happy in their environment otherwise they die. Look there. This flower is shade loving flower. It does not like sun. They need sun but that does not mean they love sun.It just likes sun but it loves shade. I told the same thing to Dada. But he did not listen to me and see now in our fight this poor flower had to die.
Manik looked at the girl.

Manik remembered all the moments he spent with Nandini and every time she expressed her love towards him. He then remembered Nandini's and Dhruv's encounter..She hardly smiled and laughed the way she would when he was with her...He smiled as he finally got his answers now...and said
Manik: He loves her but she loves me. In fact we love each other.
Girl: exactly. Ab samajh mein aaya apko.aapko intna jaldi samjah aaya...pata nahi dadu ko kyun samajh nahi aata...ki shade aur flower ki love story main sun villain ban gaya...chalo u understood so take this rose...
She gave him a red rose.
Girl: take this red rose...aapko pata hai maine aapko red rose kyun diya...because aapne yeh flower aur shade ki love story samjhi warna aap bade log toh apne stubborness ke aage kuch dekhte hi nahi...aap bahut achhe ho...and kissed Manik on his cheek...
Manik was overwhelmed he hugged her and kissed her back...
Manik: Thank you so much...
Someone called the girl and she left.
Manik: It's right...I have not come in between Dhruv and Nandini...We love each other that mean Dhruv has come and I can't let it happen. In sacrificing my love I forgot about Nandini. She will never stay happy with Dhruv. She loves me and I love her. So no point of sacrificing because I will spoil all our lives. Instead for the ones who I am sacrificing will never stay happy. Nandini cannot imagine her life without me. She does not love Dhruv, she will never stay happy with him.
Manik stood up and shouted and laughed like mad .He did not care whether people were looking or not.
She loves me...She loves me...
He laughed at this new found realization and rushed to his car.
He called her.
Nandini: Manik where are you? I am sorry I slept yesterday but I have made my mind. I need to tell you something.
Manik: I coming for your coffee...
Nandini: What
Manik: I never had this feeling before. This is so good then the first time I realized about my love for you.
Nandini: Manik are you alright? What's wrong?
Manik: I am irrevocably and hopelessly in love with you Nandini.
