with so many respect topics going on, i had one question, when you don't respect someone or don't like someone, should you tell that person or be quiet about it? which is better? how should you approach this situation?
I think you don't have to say it by words.. when we respect someone it is very obviouse with all our gestures and regular talks .. we dont have to specifically tell them that we respect them .. same goes to ther others too where we dont' like them .. we really don't have to tell them .. infact to remain quite is better option IMHO.. 😊

lets take scenario, what about a person who is being nasty to you, do you think "i dont respect you" will tone down the person and make the person aware that he/she was really being a jerk?
If a person is being nasty to you then tell him that he is going to be ignored and you don't want to interact with him anymore.
Some time back someone I know was geting bossy on the phone with me over something. I didn't want to make it an issue so ignored it but that person was not getting the point. Finally after giving it some thought I called up the person and told her that I didn't like the way she spoke to me and demanded how a particular thing was to be done. I was making my point my ignoring but since she didn't get I thought let me clear the things. I was not going to do it and appreciate if she won't take that tone with me in future. Then I kept the phone. After about 15 mins or so she called me back and apologized.

I can only think of these 3 approach.
1. If that person is not directly affecting you then ignore her. She is not worth your time.
2. If the person is constantly harassing you and not getting the point then tell her to back off and put her in ignore mode.
3. If the person is a friend then try to resolve it and see why in the first place the respect was lost. It is always better to clear things between friends and if it still doesn't work out then part.

Maya has given a good answer to it 😊
