Veer fell in love with Kirti when he was young but was never able to tell her.Her parents got her married to someone else. Veer left to study in London and to try and forget Kirti but could not do it. He did not want destroy someone else's life by marrying them when he could not love them so never married but buried himself in his work (he is a renowned lawyer).
His first and only news of Kirti was that she and her husband had died in a car accident and left a child who no one would take in as they had left no money. So he adopted Reha.
Reha hated him because her childhood was happy until her father found letter her mother (Kirti) had written to veer before her marriage (but never sent). That resulted in her parents marriage falling apart. During that period Kirti wrote further letters to Veer (but never sent) which made things worse and led to her father being violent towards her mother and drinking heavily until one day when whilst drunk he forced her mother to go for a drive with him which led to a car accident in which they both died.
So Reha blamed Veer for coming between her parents (although he knew nothing of any of this) and for their death. Now finally she has realised that he was not to blame for what happened and has accepted him.
As for Anusman he is dead but this is Indian Soap so anything can happen so he may yet come back!!!
