Part_16
Veera woke up with the alarm's first bell and took a quick bath,
then she prepared breakfast and brought some milk for Balveer. She
lay down beside him and taking him into her arms, she kissed his
forehead and gave him the bottle to drink, he started sucking the
moment the nipple touched his lips, she smiled and hugged him.
Veera; sim baby, utho, jaldi se utho
he kept sucking the milk. Veera picked him up and lay him in her
lap.
Veera; sim, utho baby dekho mama ko late hojayega.
He opened his eyes slowly and looked at her, she smiled and kissed
his forehead again.
Veera; aww mera sweet baby, jaldi se milk finish kro aapko tayar bhi
hona he na
He nodded innocently, just then someone entered the room.
Person; Veera me hospital ke liye niqal rhi hun
Veera; jee didi.
The person left, that person was actually Chanchali, baldev's elder
half-sister, whom he knew nothing about. Chanchali found Veera in
the hospital when she came for her ultrasound in the 3rd month of
her pregnancy and she got alarmed to hear Baldev's name and
balwant's name along with it. She came to enquire only to find out
that Veera was Baldev's wife and alone. Chanchali hated Balwant but
decided to help veera because she was alone and after all she was
Balveer's aunt, and she took care of Veera and Balveer ever since.
Veera insisted to share the expenses as she didn't want to become a
burden on chanchali, so now she worked for her and Balveer's basic
needs.
Balveer finished his milk, Veera gave him a bath and then got him
dressed, then she applied some jam on bread and gave it to him.
Veera; jaldi jaldi khao sim, hamen late hojayega.
Balveer; yes mom.
Balveer was a very sharp kid, he had developed full speech in 2
years, and spoke alot, he was very good in learning things and there
was nothing that he couldn't do. Although he had never seen his
father, yet Baldev's traits were in him, he had a hot head and fought
alot with the kids in his day care. He had become the leader there
and many kids feared him but Veera didn't know about this, she
tried to make him calm and soft but Baldev's blood was not going
to change. He was very strong too, he seldom cried, not even when
he fell and got hurt, he only cried when Veera scolded him but then
she didn't do that much and he was mostly smiling. Not only in
habits but Balveer had a striking resemblence with baldev in his
looks too. The same curly hair, the flour white skin, long slim face,
small lips and the exactly same eyes. Whoever knew Baldev would
recognize Balveer as his son on first glance.
Veera took her and Balveer's bag and picked Balveer up.
Balveer; mom, i can walk
Veera; sim plx abhi nhi
Balveer;; mom..please let me
She put him down and held his hand. they walked out of the house.
Veera had a scooty for herself. She got her helmet on and put
blaveer's on him. Then she tied him to herself with a belt. He held
on the scooter small handle just infront of him. She started the
scooter and left for his day care. She dropped him to the day care
and instructed the same thing she has been doing for 2 years now.
Veera; no masti no fights okay, i don't want complains you hear me
Balveer Singh
Balveer; yes mom. (he said with an irritated face)
Veera kissed his cheek and gave him his bag.
Veera talked to the babysitter and then left. She went to the school
and started her class. This was her everyday lifestyle. Except for
weekends, where she wokeup a little late from ususal, took Balveer
to the amusement park, and shopping. Despite her low income she
tried to give everything to her son which baldev would have, Balvee
had everything in his life except for his dad. He often asked about
him and Veera told him about Baldev, but she lied about the reason
of him not living with them.
Veera; tumhare papa bohot busy hen sim, wo isiliye humse milne nhi
aate
Balveer; mom tina ke papa bhi bohot busy hen, wo bhi us se milne
nhi aate, par phone to krte hen, mere dad phone kyun nhi krte
Veera; baby, wo out of india he na isiliye
Balveer; rohan ke uncle bhi out of india hen, pr wo
Veera had no anwsers to give so she changed the topic whenever
this came up.
Veera; Sim dexter's laboratory a rha hoga..switch the tv on.
This was their small little world, Veera and her Balveer.

Ever since Veera left Pritampura had completely changed, Baldev
was very rude and cunning but he had stopped hating the people of
Pritampura, he gave a free hand to all villagers and was lenient now,
he gave an opportunity to all so that they can clear their debts and
free themselves, he didn't want to control anyone anymore, and
because of this people now respected him and had grown fond of
him too. He was not the forced surpunch anymore, people loved
him and had voted for him in the elections, he was re-elected with
majority of votes in his favour, and now he was satisfied that
atleast what he has is compleltely his now.
Bansuri's queen days were over, Baldev had apologized to Balwant
and Balwant forgave him, and himself apologized for not taking his
side during the first elections. The father-son duo was on good
terms now, Gunjan and Ranvi fell in love and because Baldev loved
his sister and didn't want her to go through what he himself was, he
let her marry Ranvi and he gave her all means to stay safe and
happy. He never visited her house though, didn't even go with her
during her bidaai, Ranvi was mourning on Veera's departure but
Gunjan had somehow got him back to his senses. Ratan had
changed too, she felt very guilty on her behviour with veera and
wanted to apologize.
Bansuri kept trying to console Baldev for marriage, nobody knew
that he and Veera got married, and had separted 2 days later.
Baldev had no idea that he was a father now, he still loved Veera
and no girl could ever take her place, he turned down Bansuri
everytime she brought the topic of his marriage up. He had lost his
wife but deep down he knew she would return to him one day, he
had full believe in his true love.
He had tried to find her, he went to delhi, got her photo published
in newspapers, but Veera was not in delhi then, she wa sin amritsar
at that time staying with an old friend, she came to delhi later, and
that photo was by that time forgotten by the busy people of delhi,
it was almost impossible to find her , but Baldev kept trying, he was
still searching for her but his efforts were not bearing fruits.
At night he looked at the moon, thinking that Veera must be
looking at it too, and yes she did, every night she looked at the
moon and got Balveer to look at it too.
Balveer; mom why we stare at it everyday?
Veera; because ur father stares at it too
Balveer; really? mera message dega moon dad ko
she nodded with tears in her eyes.
Balveer; ok..moon dear please tell my dad that i love him alot and i
want to see him.
Balveer gave a flying kiss in the air.
Balveer; and give this to him from me.
And just then wind touched Baldev's face and his heart skipped a
beat, Balveer's kiss had traveled all the way from delhi to
pritampura and touched his cheek.
