Chapter 5
In the auditorium this one particular person stood out clearly. Everyone was whistling and clapping in sheer glee that their beloved Abhi and Pragya were back to finish the story whereas this person had their arms crossed and their face expressed anguish that wasn't going to end soon. Who ever thought a mere show would bring out so much anger, agony and frustration in one person? Taking the phone out a text is sent to the accomplice.
Abhi takes the story forward "He found out where she was and he went to win her back at any cost. He knew she was a bigger person than to hold a grudge against him and he was willing to beg for another chance. It was a stroke of destiny that brought them back together one day and all words that were unsaid came out like they were supposed to be said. Abhi and Pragya perform on "'Tum hi ho' from the movie Ashique 2. Abhi says "He knows he hurt her so much that he didn't even give her a chance to explain. He will go back if she doesn't take him back. Next song starts 'Zara si dil mein de jaga tu' from the movie Jannat. Pragya says "Deep down in her heart she always knew he was the one for her. She couldn't let him leave and gladly went back in his life." Abhi adds "He had promised to keep her happy. He wanted to make up for all the times he mocked her beauty. He was going to let her know that she was the most beautiful to him. They perform on 'Maula mere maula' from the movie Anwar. Pragya adds "She never imagined she would ever hear anyone praising her beauty and to hear it from him was like music to her ears. Every word he said resonated within her and she felt that finally she is getting all that she had wished her. She felt beautiful and she was getting all the attention that anyone wouldn't crave for. They perform on 'Subhanallah' from the movie Yeh Jewaani Hai Deewani. Abhi takes the story forward saying "She totally changed his life. He couldn't recall ever being this happy. For her smile he could do anything, when she smiled he automatically had a smile on his face and he loved that feeling. Even better was when he made her blush, her cheeks would start to take colour and no matter how hard she tried it was evident to everyone." They perform on 'Aye chaand teri chandni ki kasam' from the movie Tera Jaadoo Chal Gaya. A blushing Pragya says "They lived happily ever after." Abhi picks Pragya up in his arms and takes her off stage. The whistles and claps got louder and everyone gave them a standing ovation. That one person rose slowly and left to go back stage.
Abhi had his back towards his Pragya and the person got close to her. He couldn't believe his luck that she was standing near the staircase. He looked at his cousin and he turned the lights off. Abhi looked back and Pragya was gone. The accomplice slowly made his way to the underground parking through a different staircase but little did he know that Abhi was following him.
The accomplice got to his car and drove over to the staircase as any moment his cousin will be bringing Pragya.
"Do I have to do everything? Open the back door seat and where's the rope?" he barked at his cousin. Abhi came towards the car and suckerpunched him sending him back and he landed hard against the staircase door. He then forwarded his hand to his Chashmish and pulled her behind him. In front lay the culprits and the accomplice was helping his cousin up to his feet. The main culprit David lay a hand across his cousin Tony's shoulders for support and had a nasty menacing look on his face. David hated Abhi since the first time he struck him in the restaurant and even more now. Abhi glared back, these two were the ones out to hurt his Chashmish. Abhi broke the silence and spoke to them "You think you are so smart? You fell for our trap." From behind the police came up to them along with Purab, Akaash, and Suresh. The culprits looked to one another in disbelief and the accomplice Tony spoke "How did you know?" Abhi walked a step closer and looked straight into his eyes, "You two gave yourself away. Ever since I beat your cousin at the restaurant he always picked fights with me whenever we met". Abhi turns his attention to David and continues "You always had to bring that up and you would bad mouth my wife and I. So many times I had to control my temper so I wouldn't beat you so bad that you would forever lay in a hospital. You are such a disgusting man? I thought you might feel ashamed but no you just kept on making it a big issue. You were the one to misbehave yet you wanted to punish us? Then one day you stopped and each time we met at events, ad shoots etc you were normal. It was really odd but I was glad at least you got some sense. Then when I had that meeting at my house you sent your cousin. It's not like you to miss anything but why did you? My suspicion of you both grew and my gut told me it was you too. My friends were able to look into what you did the last few months. You both followed us and you are living as tenants near me." An inspector says "We will take all your computers and phones to access those emails you sent." Abhi and Pragya turn to leave and David lunges towards Pragya and has her in a chokehold. David says "You can't leave so fast, I haven't finished what I started" and evilly laughs. Abhi tells him "Don't do anything that you will regret." David says "Neil was right. You are too cocky and so full of yourself. It's only you who can get things done and everyone around you are idiots. Neil couldn't set you straight but I told him I can. I'm not afraid of you and I'm man enough to take you down." Abhi gives a wink which startles David but Pragya knew what that meant she stomped on his foot digging in her high heel and then jabbed her right elbow in his ribs, David faltered back and he lost his grip. The police surrounded him and took him to the jeep where his brother Tony was already cuffed and waiting. One by one everyone left and it was only Abhi and Pragya left. He looks to her and says "Good job." Pragya responds "I had a lot of practice." Abhi fakes wincing in pain and says "I know I was your dummy for practice." Abhi pulls his Chashmish in an embrace and is relived that this is finally over. He knows Neil instigated David but he's not dumb to keep trying the same thing again. Neil will do something else later but both Abhi and Pragya are ready for him.
It was on the August 18th episode that the restaurant scene happened. Neil is such a cunning person to say it lightly that I wanted him to be an instigator but the culprits are someone else. The guy that got beat up wasn't formally introduced so I made up the name David and gave him an accomplice, his cousin Tony.
