All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.

Part 1:
Sunehri paced the bathroom agitatedly.
She'd finally made a valid excuse to get away from loverboy out there. She looked upwards, halting her rampant steps.
"Bappa! What the hell is going on here? I didn't ask to get involved in all of this. First, the crazy blind bat-cat woman tries to off me, and now her son can't see past his hormones to realise I am NOT his wife!"
She started pacing again.
How could he not realise that Sunehri wasn't this Sanam chick? How was it even possible that the two of them could look SO alike, that people obviously close to this Sanam couldn't even tell the difference?
Sunehri took a deep breath. "I'm not trying to get killed here... neither am I going to do anything that guy out there thinks I am..."
All she wanted was her money. "Think Sunehri... think!" she said to herself, starting to pace again.
But when she started thinking, she thought of Rehan. It had been like this ever since he'd made her leave. It always came back to him.
She wondered where he was right now? Did he think of her? Did he miss her?
She sighed.
Clearly, love was not for her.
And this job...? It seemed like she'd bitten off more than she could chew. Sure, the money was great. With that amount, she could escape. Live a straight life. She wouldn't have to steal any more. She could actually work. Maybe meet someone... No. She couldn't do that. Not now. Not after Rehan.
And then there was the story of this Sanam. Where was the old hag holding her, and why? "So many questions... with no answers at all"
"Uhh, Sanam... all okay in there?" Aahil knocked on the bathroom door.
Sunehri rolled her eyes. "All fine... baby"
Aahil looked bewildered. "Baby?"
"I think it's just the stress from tonight... I'm feeling completely nauseous" Sunehri croaked out before faking some awful retching noises.
"Sanam, let me in!" Aahil ordered, concerned.
"No, I'm fine. Just go to sleep. I'll come out when I feel better"
"Sanam..."
"Just go!"
"You sure...? I mean... I could help?" he asked, sounding even more concerned. Sunehri rolled her eyes. She was not playing this Sanam chick very well, by the sounds of it.
"Positive. Go. I may be a while" Sunehri said. "Like all night" she thought to herself.
"Sanam's acting so weird..." he thought to himself as he walked back to the bed.
He knew tonight was supposed to be their night. He wanted to hear those three words from her mouth so badly. But he also knew that if she wanted some space, he'd give it to her.
"This Razia doesn't look as though she has any money... let alone the amount she's promising me. Something is so off here. I have to think of something. This house makes me feel uneasy... I just want my money and to get out of here"
"Money, money... The things I do for you" she said to herself as she tried thinking of a way out.
Suddenly she jumped up in excitement. And then she slunk down again. "It's a long shot... And it's dangerous. But it's a chance I'm willing to take..."
**********
"Where am I...?" Sanam muttered groggily. Whatever she'd been dosed with was clearly still in effect. Wherever she was... it was dark and dank; gloomy and smelled awful. A dimly lit bulb hung in the centre of the small room, not giving off much light.
She realised she was tied up, and looked around frantically. Thanking God for small mercies, as she realised she was alone, Sanam stopped struggling. Damn Begum Sahiba!
"I need to get out of here. I need to make sure Aahil is safe from her..." she thought to herself frantically, as she rocked herself on the cold, hard floor.
**********
Aahil turned over in his sleep and reached out for Sanam. He opened his eyes slowly when he realised that the other side of the bed was vacant. "Where is she?" he asked, waking up to see if she was still sick in the bathroom.
No...
"Where could she be?" he asked, walking out of their bedroom. He halted outside his Ammi's room, and the sight before him warmed his heart. There was his beautiful and caring wife, sleeping in an armchair next to his Ammi's bed.
He walked in quietly and shook Sanam. "Let me sleep!" she hissed fiercely in her sleep. Aahil instinctively backed away. Sanam was a light sleeper. She'd never reacted to being woken like that. Perhaps she was tired and still feeling a bit sick.
"Sanam baby... wake up. You aren't well. Why are you here?" he whispered.
Sunehri realised who it was and that she'd been found, so she reluctantly opened her eyes. "I'm fine now. I want to be here. In case she needs anything" she replied sleepily.
"Sanam, come to bed"
"Aahil. You won't die if you don't get your goodnight kiss. I'm staying here and that's final. Now leave so I can sleep!"
He frowned, completely mystified by Sanam's sudden change in behaviour.
Sunehri sighed. "Aahil, I'm fine. I'm just... taking care of your Ammi. Just let me, okay? After what happened at the function, it will help me sleep better" she said, trying to cover up her blunder.
He smiled at her. "Thank you, Sanam. You really and truly do so much for my family"
Sunehri felt a bout of guilt hit her, but plastered on her fake smile. "My family too, right?" she asked uncertainly. "Of course. Goodnight" he said before leaving Tanveer's room.
"God! I have to end this. Tomorrow" she thought to herself.
**********
Rehan walked into Tanveer's room and smiled at the sight of Sanam sleeping in the armchair. He shook his head as the smile was wiped off his face. He couldn't look at Sanam without the painful memories of Sunehri's deceit coming to mind.
It irked him. How in the world was it possible for two people to look so exactly alike, and yet... be so different.
Sunehri heard the shuffling close to her and wondered if the blind bat had woken for something. To keep up her act, she opened her eyes slowly, but the sight before her had her biting back a gasp.
Rehan! What the HELL was he doing here?
She shifted uncomfortably, trying to pretend to still be asleep. But it was too late. He'd already seen her wake up.
"Good morning Sanam. Why are you here?"
"Why am I here? What are you doing here?" she asked, unable to hide her surprise.
Rehan smiled slightly as he replaced the jug of water on Tanveer's bedside with a fresh one. "The project is over, so I'm back from Kohinoor now" he paused slightly, thinking of the time he'd spent there - with Sunehri.
"I was at the function last night, too, but I was busy, so didn't get a chance to say hello" he continued.
Sunehri was speechless. Her head suddenly ached. Even more questions... This was Rehan's home? How?
"Oh, I see. How was... the time away?" she prodded.
Rehan sat on the edge of Tanveer's bed carefully, so as not to disturb her slumber. He smiled sadly, and Sunehri could feel her heart breaking. "It was... perfect. But, it's over now" he said quietly.
He got up leave and stopped at the door. "I'm really happy that you and Aahil Bhai seem so happy. I hope it stays that way"
Sunehri nodded. She couldn't muster up the courage to say anything; not with the lump that had formed in her throat at seeing him again.
"Of all the places in the world that I had to end up after all of that..." she thought to herself as she got up and looked skywards. "Some sense of humour you have there..." she muttered.
"Who's there?" Tanveer stirred.
Sunehri smiled. The only thing bringing her any sort of pleasure in this place was the unexplainable urge she had to torture this woman. Why, she had no clue... but their little altercation last night had left Sunehri feeling ever so slightly satisfied.
She walked up to her and yanked her hair back. "Sanam..." Tanveer hissed painfully. "Shut up!" Sunehri threatened, pulling her hair even harder.
"If Aahil sees this... you will be thrown out of this house immediately"
"Your son doesn't scare me... I've got him right where I want him" Sunehri said confidently, before letting go of her and walking out.
"Damn Sanam! What's happened to her?" Tanveer rued as she rubbed her head.
**********
"Oh Sanam. Are you feeling any better?" Aahil asked, turning around when she walked into the room.
Sunehri wanted the ground to swallow her whole. The man was shirtless. She did not need to be seeing all of that... He was someone else's husband, and he actually did nothing for her female senses.
She blocked her eyes.
"Put a shirt on, will you?" she asked, walking through the room and hiding her face in a wardrobe.
Aahil stepped up behind her. "I don't remember you having an issue with it before? In fact, I think you like it" he teased.
"You thought wrong. Now please" she said, handing him his shirt from the cupboard without looking at him.
Aahil looked at her for a long while. Was she still upset with him? Is that why she was displaying such reluctance at being close to him?
Confused and slightly miffed, he quickly got dressed and started to leave the room.
"Uhh... baby?"
Aahil turned back at the door. "What is this baby-baby talk? She's never called me that before...?" he thought to himself, wondering what had gotten into his wife. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was very off here, indeed.
"Come home early. I have something to... I have a surprise for you" she said, smiling a little too brightly.
Aahil couldn't help himself; he smiled back warmly. "So this is what's up. She wants to make it special" he thought to himself with relief.
"Of course, Sanam. I'll be home by six" he said before walking out.
Sunehri heaved a sigh of relief herself.
"Now, just to plan what I am going to say..."

Yes yes, another story!
My take on the current track and what I'd like to see (When you don't get what you want in the show... making it up yourself seems the next best option)
I know this part is considerably shorter than most stories I write, but there will be a few parts to this story, so I want to keep it short and hopefully that will enable me to update more frequently.
Hope you've enjoyed it.
Much love, as always
