In Pics: TMKOC team joins PM Modi's clean India campaign, cleans slum areas of film city
To take Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for My Clean India Campaign a step ahead, the actors of the show along with producer Asit Kumarr Modi, went to Slums near Film City, Goregaon. They took brooms and cleaned the area of garbage & stagnant water. "Core message of our show is to spread awareness about various social issues and one of major concerns of India is cleanliness. We are a committed team. So, as part of the story line, we went to real slums and actually cleaned some parts," says Asit Kumarr Modi.
Added Disha Wakani, "In our show, Gokuldham society is shown as a very clean. Even the children in the society are taught these civic manners. We as a responsible team are taking this initiative to spread awareness about importance of cleanliness.
