Today's episode is one of the worst I have watched.
Its a different thing to read that Akbar had killed 30000 civilians in chittor and completely different to watch it on screen. The menacing way he walked towards that kid killing his father I could not watch it any longer.
Akbar was an parentless kid an hostage in childhood isn't it? Then how can he kill another kids parents in front of its own eyes? I do not care if he takes kid to Jodha or not but this scene was highly deplorable.
Even if he did all these things it should not be shown. OK audience already knows Akbar was a ruthless warrior and dreaded king. Should it be shown so graphically? The viewer shall be repulsed by this and we can no longer believe that Akbar could ever love anyone after doing such non descriptive atrocities. Honestly this war is all I shall remember if he goes to jodha or act goody goody again.
In maharana pratap they show without offending the viewer. We know pratap and Shakti fought once and to stop the fight a priest came in between and they cut him to pieces. So do they show that on TV? No neveerrr
We know Udai Singh was a womanizer and he was highly influenced by his younger wives and once he wanted to marry Mahmood Shah young sister young enough to be his daughter. And when proposal was rejected he threatened to attack them. Do they show this? No neverrr
Like this I can give list of all the bad things of every possible ruler in world.
Why? Because if they show all that we will not be able to respect that character on screen again. We will be reminded again and again all the past that his human nature.

I totally agree wid u! But i am relived by one thing that d cute baby wid manisha in that pic was not salim but that child in precap! Though we don't want salim's track so early but he suits for little salim's role! why they wasted his cuteness for such a small shot?

i seldom write but i had to write after reading so much about why at all Ekta Kapoor is showing the Chittor war.
I would say why not!
At the end of the day this is a historical show, so the main backbone of the story remains history!
And though Akbar was a great ruler under whose reign Hindus and Muslims stayed peacefully, but he had to fight numerous wars to become Great! and in war , one cannot be politically correct.
War in a way has no winners but human history is full of wars as wars have been the quickest way to change the course of time.
Also we Indians have a very immature tendency of putting every leader on a pedestal and start worshiping him. But leaders are also Humans and they take decision based on the need of the hour.
So why Akbar fought the Chittor war the way he fought only history can tell, but I for one would really congratulate Indian television for trying to show the human facets of Akbar the Great!
