Arzoo is a different character with lot more subtlety in it. And Shivya is doing a very good job, IMO! I really like her pairing with Harshad, their frames are too good of a match, infact. And yesterday's episde when both Arzoo and Sahir were having a pained look it was just perfect, I could literally feel their emotions. Totally enjoying this show just for Arzoo and Sahir after losing interest in several other shows.

For me I agree with you. Still its hard for me to find out her acting. specially the emotional scene I didn't see any emotional feeling in her eyes ore body language. Sorry to say this guys. She need more impruvement. I agree she is new. But I couldnt feel any emotion with her.

I for one...am really enjoying Shivyas performance. Her expressions are fresh and not the same that I have seen before in countless scenes...I think this was a good choice by Gul to pick her for this character...

I wont comment about Sanaya but I think Surbhi was not good in early episodes of QH. She improved a lot and now she is my favortie. So I find Shivya as equal as Surbhi in terms of acting as of now. And really happy that her character is not OTT. I find Khushi and Zoya irritating to hell.
And personally I will always prefer fresh faces with fresh expressions. Though I like HArshad from his previous work but the drivng force for me to watch this show is still Shivya as she adds that freshness to show otherwise as we all know Gul's shows are very much similar. Also The way Arzoo is different than Geet, Khushi and Zoya impressed me a lot. Instead of male protagonist , here female protagonist has anger problem and is judgemental too unlike other females. This really makes her character interesting.

I didn't connect with her in the promos and in the initial scenes that I saw of her I didn't connect with her character and felt bad that harshad was paired opposite some1 who wasn't up to his standard. But I dnt watch the show a lot bt whatever scenes of her that I have seen she is growing as an actress. However for me the character is just boring and she hasn't done anything acting wise that would make me want to watch scenes of her when she isn't with him. And as for those ott characters of gul's other show I haven't qubool hai bt I think that sanaya was annoying as khushi I preferred her as paro. So its not really whether the character is quiet or ott its what the actor brings to the role that makes it connect able.

Shivya is ok, I wish they chose Anupriya Kapoor. I miss her, loved her and Harshad's chemistry in Tere Liye

I personally feel that the lead actress does well for her character. Perhaps that's the way the character is supposed to be. This characterisation is more 'lifelike' than female leads characterisations in other dramas. Her family situation makes her strong and yet ultra defensive as well.
My only complain is that she is so tall, I dont think we can ever see an office scene where Arzoo sits on her Sahir's lap. 😉

i agree with you

even i gt disappointed with gul this time

all the three female leads of gul shows are excellent in acting and perfect match for the male lead.

she has selected a perfect male lead but female lead is like she finalized in hurry burry

even sj was a new comer but she did and doing a fabulous job.

but this one has to improve leaps and bounds. and not matching for harshu.

eventhough i dnt like this female lead i am watching this show for harshu

and i am trying myself very hard to accept this girl as female lead.

Yes, as a newcomer, I think she is doing a fine job. I am not saying that she is not talented. All I am trying to say is that, the show mainly focuses on Arzoo and Sahir. Both the characters have been sketched out brilliantly. But they have to be portrayed equally well, so that even a boring scene, can turn out to be interesting. A character has to make the audience feel his or her emotions along with their acting. But I can only feel Sahir's emotions, and not Arzoo's. I really like, how her character is not OTT. Arzoo is a beautiful and a realistic character, which can be portrayed and expressed really well. But Shivya has this monotone in her acting, which sometimes can make a really good scene, seem boring. Whereas, Harshad Chopra is doing a brilliant job, and to meet that expectation, I feel that Shivya has a long way to go. Just like the other female leads, I am sure that, she will improve little by little. After all, Gul is one of the best producer/director that brings out an actor in a newcomer, in all her shows.
