Rani M to play Dawood's sister in Bio pic

Apoorva Lakhia has wanted to make a biopic about Dawood Ibrahim's sister, Haseena Parkar, for some time. Although he's managed to keep it all hush hush, it seems he is keen on having Rani Mukerji essay the role.
Lakhia is believed to be in talks with the actress for the project which he hopes will go on the floors next month. Mumbai Mirror quote a source close to the development, "Till late last year, Apoorva was in touch with Haseena and her family. He wants to ensure that every detail is right. He himself spent a lot of time with Haseena to understand the complexities of her life."
"Apoorva believes that Rani will do complete justice to the role. She can pull off the part with confidence and aplomb, which is why he zeroed down on her," continued the insider.
Titled Haseena', the film will surround the life and times of Parkar whose husband Ismail was shot by Arun Gawli's gang in 1991. The gang were then also gunned down at the well-known shootout at J J Hospital.
Haseena Parkar passed away last year.
