Actually they both are important to Payal's recovery. Durga has her identity to protect. She can give Payal medicines, sister like care, can take her outside everything , but she cannot give Payal motivation. A need to get herself cured. I mean Payal identifies Durga with Nithya but Durga denies she is Nithya. So the girl does not have anyone of her own. Also Durga cannot bring back the beautiful memories for Payal. The memories Payal has about her parents, her sister and her protected life before the rape. Reason she has to protect identity.

Durga did recall past memories by taking Payal to same park where they used to plsy in childhood. They had shown her old photo albums too in older episodes. Please don't discount her contribution just to give extra brownie points to Dev.

Anu no one is discounting Durga's contribution. Payal has become whatever it is because of Durga only. Atleast I am not discounting.

i dnt agree with TM..payal HAD come back almost to normal state, was laughing, talking and discussed her likes and dislikes with Dayal and durga MUCH BEFORE Dev made an entry into the scene.. there have been initial episodes of the same..and also, i think saying tht durga did nothing except get doctors for payal is unfair..she was the only one taking care of payal, handling her acting out and agitation, making sure she took her medications, take her out to familiar places, showing her old albums and photos and many things more..plz dnt forget she is payal's own sister and unlike Dev, has no ulterior motives while dealing with payal..dev was the bumbling irresponsible fool who brought sakshi to payal and negated EVERYTHING tht durga had done for her..even the so-called breakthrough payal had in her parents place was not due to dev shoving photos in her face or yelling at her to remember so tht he can find nitya, but due to durga and dev's fight..how do we credit only dev for it??his munnabhaigri CUD have gone awry and she cud have had a panic attack or even a psychotic breakdown..she is suffering from PTSD, it dsnt get treated on its own by non-conventional methods only..i have seen rape victims turn psychotic from the trauma as well, sum of my patients have required ECTs as well coz they were in a bad state..i blame durga for not having adequate security for payal..but she left nothing else unturned..if we had only dev in the picture, payal wud still be in tht mental asylum run by corrupt doctors in sakshi's clutches..
