Dev may be the dumbest person on planet earth, and he may have led Sakshi to Payal unknowingly but he has taken more steps for Payal's recovery than any one else on the show (including the doctor).

He visited her every Wednesday when she was at the farmhouse. Even after the wedding, he visited her twice, showed the dvd and single-handedly revived her.

Durga, on the other hand, focuses all her energy on negative self-talk and revenge. I haven't seen her do anything positive for Payal's recovery apart from hiring a doctor with Dayal's money.

Sorry. You cannot discount Durga, Dayal and Doc daving her and rehabilitating her. Even before she met Dev, Durga had arranged teachers and psychiatrist for her and she was responding well be it drawing or at her birthday party.

Dev just led Sakshi and goons to her and pushed her back into trauma.

He is not helping her. Just pressurising her to tell truth of Nitya.

Bit of help now has not achieved progress that Payal had earlier before Dev D caused trauma again with his stupidity.

1. Durga has a past life that has to be counted first. She took arms against the mighty Goenkas to save the dignity of her sister and her family.

Dev didn't do anything in this regard.

2. Durga parents committed suicide, they lost the case and even she met a deadly accident all because she wanted justice for her sister.

Dev was at that time calmly completing his degree.

3. Durga thereafter had to recover from the accident but then first thing she did was to whisk Payal away.

Dev was still missing from the picture.

4. Durga was working on Payal medical treatment already. It was the attack which flushed all her hardwork.

And who was responsible for the attack ?

5. To Durga Payal should be cured for she is a sweetheart.

To Dev she is the medium to get Nitya.

6. Durga has to keep her identity a secret while dealing with Payal's treatment.

Dev has no extra baggage to deal with.

7. Durga has a revenge plan that goes along with Payal's treatment.

We all know what Dev is and how his plans are.

8.Yes Durga uses Dayal's money but its Dayal's wish to spend those money.

Dev is wasting his inheritance which belongs to the Goenkas without consulting even his mother.

9. Durga before the rape incident bought a house for her father. That proves her llove for her family.

Dev on the other hand is working day in and day out to find Nitya only. Even in his frustratation he dared to say that he cares about nothing and no one.

Is his frustration more than that of Durga's ?

10. Durga is or at least was much more strong headed than Dev is. She knows how to use her time. She has directly hit Sakshi and Shaurya and now she cannot afford to move herself from the revenge plan.

Dev on the other hand has ample of time to waste here and there because no one thinks he is a threat. At least Rajnath's attitude said so.

Ok, three quick points before i get to other things

1) I work with children who have psychological disabilities. Most parents take their kids to all types of therapy sessions after the diagnosis. However, only those who go beyond traditional therapy see a big difference.

Durga and Dayal did everything in the traditional way but Dev took the extra step. Also, he gave Payal a motivation and target to recover. That always helps. Patient has to be motivated.

2) People who are brought up in protected environments need more time to adapt and accept drastic measures. Durga has lost everything, her approach and mental state will be different from Dev. when you live a protected life, it takes some time to adapt. For Dev, its a journey...he's still growing.

3) Dev did believe Payal could guide him to Nitya in the initial episodes. I would like to think he did not get the gravity of the situation then. I haven't seen him do anything like that in last few episodes. Even parents who get confirmed diagnosis from a doctor take time to adjust. they expect their child to behave normally. It takes them a while to lower expectations.

P.S. I'm not here to support Dev on everything but in Payal's recovery, I think he has played a major role.

DEV is walking on the path which has already been paved by doc Durga n Dayal n now Just because he is helping Payal now doesn't mean he will be taken as someone who is the real positive guy ...

1. Durga tried other things. Like drawing or a birthday party. Actually you never know what works for a mental patient. Some things work and some don't. Even Shaurya was brought before Payal to see if she reacts after seeing him. Also, Payal was so comfortable with Durga that she said Durga was almost like her Nitya didi.

Dev brought Payal to her old house. Good thing but he didn't bother to ask the doctor or her guardian before doing that. Also, this way he put Payal's life in danger

2. Protected life or not. There is something called maturity. His growth chart is almost negative.He expects to get everything as it was before he left for USA. Also, anyone who wont give him hte details of Nitya and her whereabouts is a criminal. Why can't he believe Nitya is hiding herself for the sake of security ? I know its about Payal's treatment alone but we have to consider his whole character to decide if he is worthy enough of helping Payal this way.

But for teh sake of discussion if I consider that he had a protected life and all that than you will have to ocnsider that Durga has twin jobs. One is the revenge plan and protecting her identity and second is Payal's treatment. For Dev Payal is the part of Nitya search mission. He obviously will have more time than Durga.

Durga was literally shattered when Payal was attacked. Dev was thinking otherwise though. More than Payal's health or the attack or the after effects he was concentrating on Durga and Goenka's reactions.

Durga took Payal to old parks where they used to play as kids, indulged her in her hobbies lioe drawing, showed her old photo albums. And Payal did progress well, from a vegetable she began to speak. She celebrated her birthday and stood up from wheelchair. Dev just took her back to square one.

Dev still shows her Nitya clips and wants her to blurt on her. I saw it in last episode itself and you say Dev isn't doing such things?

Dev has been a orphan plus lived life alone abroad. He has been educated and managed on his own. Not spoon fed baby that he cannot even understand basic things.

Durga has done a lot more than Dev who has only spoiled her hardwork and worsened things.

Frankly, Dev did nothing to help Payal recuperate. In fact, he just led Sakshi and her goons directly to Payal, and she was once again, traumatised. Payal was coping and responding so well, and Durga did help her a lot times, but ever since Durga showed Dev Payal, he was being very foolish and led Sakshi directly to Payal. The truth is, Dev does not care about Payal's health, all he cares about is finding his precious Nitya. It is just irritating now.

Dev has done much more harm to Payal than any good!

His re-entry in the Mitra sisters' lives has made Durga's plans go awry and reversed Payal's recovery.

Now whatever hes doing for Payal is too late and too little!

Durga is not shown visiting Payal but shes in constant touch with Payal's doctor, monitoring her condition.

Dev's reaction to the attack on Payal is proof enough that he cares more abt ferreting out Durga's secret and finding Nitya than Payal's well-being or safety.
