Most disappointing + Surprisingly good films

I was looking forward to watching Finding Fanny, especially after reading the reviews, but it turned out to be quite boring with a non-existent script.

Chennai Express was another let-down. It looked like a good comedy from the trailers, but the film was average at best and the dialogues/jokes were irritating.

As for the films that I thought I'd dislike but enjoyed, well, one was Jab We Met. My friend had to drag me to the cinema to watch it, because the trailers didn't look interesting. But it turned out to be the best film that I watched that year.

Also, recently, I watched the much maligned Gori Tere Pyar Mein, and it was a decent film. A one-time watch for sure and fairly entertaining. Still haven't figured out why it was panned by critics.

I cant sit thru a crap movie for more than 20 min. (for last 10 years that is). I watch the movies i like at least 3 times. The list is too long.

IMO,

Most disappointing :Saawariya, JTHJ, saat khoon maaf, Agneepath (the new one), Suddh desi romance, Tees maar khan and Ishaqzaade

Surprisingly good/entertaining: most of rohit shetty's films (i dunt think they are half as shitty as the reviews claim them to be), Aurangazeb (it was a disaster at the BO but i thought it was a decent 70s-bachan-style film)

I went for this movie out of curiosity with zero expectations but it really surprised me. Used to think John was blah but he was quite good in it

Had sky high expectations from this one since it's Yash Chopra's last and SRK in a love story. Man how disappointed I was... Throughout the movie I was praying for SRK's character to die and the movie to end soon

Problem with CE was there were less of funny scenes expected from a Rohit Shetty film. I laughed at one scene, then I waited, I waited and waited.. then the next funny scene came after 30 minutes.

YJHD was another. Except the last conversation between Farooq Sheikh and Ranbir, I didn't feel anything for any of the character. I had high expectation from Ayan's second though the songs irritated me.

Surprisingly good: Jolly LLB, Ghanchakkar.

surprisingly good- Fukrey and Holiday.

Dissapointed- Shaadi ke Side Effects and Ek This Dayaan- both the movies started well with good first half but 2nd half ruined both the movies.

Oh I forgot Holiday. I loved it. Wish the director had chopped off a few scenes and rewritten a few dialogues.

MOST disappointing movies are

JTHJ..

i ws expecting so much and i was very excited to see my favs together in a film..but the story was so bad..could not tolerate all memory aao bhagao drama.

Dhoom 3..

bad acting by amir.and bad story..i was looking forward for this movie for katrina ..and was greatly disappointed by her 10 min role in movie.

Ra-one.

was very excited to watch SRK as superhero..bt the film again lack good content//comic scenes were not funny they were something like vulgar.

Tees maar khan..

the promos were interesting.bt story was totally bokwass..bilawajah k movie..

Queen and aashique 2 are suprisingly good films for me.

and also Mausam..bt unfortunately i didnot do well.

Yep Holiday was a pleasant surprise. I can watch the sequence where the 12 army men follow the 12 sleeper cells through various parts of Mumbai over and over again! Awesome execution by the director! 👍🏼

okay.. no on here has talked about this movie Pizza.
It was on TV the other day, I watched it and turned out to be pretty good.
Different from routine horror movies. Infact, it is better than horror movies that are usually churned out in BW.
