Rains wash away Bobby's shoot

A wait too long: Bobby Deol

Bobby Deol is mighty upset. His shooting schedules have gone haywire thanks to unpredictable weather.

The entire shooting schedule of Sameer Karnik's Roshan had to be cancelled due to heavy rains.

Says Bobby who left Manali yesterday, "I am very disappointed with the weather.

We had to cancel the shoot for the last few days. We have not been able to shoot once.

Finally we had to pack up because of the non-stop rains. This has never happened to me before — a shoot getting cancelled because of natural causes," he laughs.

Roshan will be the sequel to Sameer Karnik's earlier film, Nanhe Jaisalmer (to be released) and deals with the emotional bond that a small boy and Bobby share. "It's about hope in life and how one shouldn't ever give up. Unlike my other films, I have no special look for Roshan."

This is not Bobby's first trip to Manali. "I shot my first film Barsaat here in a 45-day schedule. But I could fortunately complete my other film schedules."

Loving Manali

He loves the place. "I love Manali. I remember coming with dad to Manali, Dalhousie and other hill stations as a kid. There are good cooks at the cottages and I get great home-cooked food," says the actor.

His latest film Naqaab hasn't opened well but Bobby is happy. "It's No 7 in the UK charts.

As far as reviews are concerned, I am more than happy. I have had releases in quick succession, which often eats up the collections of your own film. But it's been good so far. No complaints."

Bobby's most prized acquisition today is the Apple iPhone he's just brought from his trip to the USA.

"I kept taking pictures of Manali and surfing the net on my iPhone as we couldn't shoot. I easily get access to entertainment and music.

I have been hooked to the net for the last five years thanks to my brother Sunny, who introduced me to the Internet."
