"Awww Sanyukta. What all didn't you do. Dumped your fiance, defied your parents, pretty much left your home for Randhir and your dream, but what did he do? Didn't even acknowledge your presence? What a waste." sneered Vidushi, as Sanyukta walked towards her table.
Turning towards Vidushi with a smile, she replied, "Well at least I know for sure that I love him and he loves me back. Can you say the same thing about yourself and Parth?"
Vidushi made a strangled noise before throwing her books on her bed and storming out of the room in a huff. Sanyukta chuckled towards herself as she opened her laptop, only to find a picture of Randhir and her staring back at her from her desktop.
A light smile crept up her face, as she reminisced all her moments with him. The first time she set her eyes on him, the first time they solved a question together, the first time they won a task together, the first time they hugged, the first time he kissed her-
"Sanyu!"
Sanyukta turned towards the source of the voice which jerked her out of her Randhir-licious daydreams, only to find her best friend, Kaustuki, at the door of their room.
"Kaustuki! OMG when did you return?" squealed Sanyukta, as she rushed to engulf her in a hug.
"Yesterday! And what did Yoyo tell me about you finally dumping that chomu? I need details!" replied Kaustuki, as she lugged her bags in with Sanyukta's help. Turning to close and bolt the door to keep away unwanted visitors, namely Kaustuki, she sprinted over to sit cross legged on her bed and tell the entire story to her best friend.
*an hour later*
"Sanyu, your parents actually disowned you?" gasped Kaustuki in shock, as a tear slid down Sanyukta's face. She hopped over to her bed and engulfed her best friend in a tight hug.
Sanyukta let out a watery chuckle as she rested her head on Kaustuki's shoulder. "Yes, they did." she replied morosely, "But promise me you'll not let anyone know. Especially Randhir. I've told everyone its just a fight at home and I've decided not to go back for some time, till matters cool down."
Kaustuki gaped at her friend in shock, as she tried to understand why did Sanyukta ask her to do so. As if reading her mind, she replied, "Randhir's going through a family crisis at this moment, and I really, really wanna be with him. I don't need him to know that I've got my own problems. It'd be better if he thinks that all's well, I'm single, and I'm always, always there for him."
"You really love him, don't you Sanyu?" smiled Kaustuki, as she walked over to her bag, opening it to unpack.
A faint blush crept up Sanyukta's cheeks, as she fiddled with her phone that was in her hand, nodding in assent.
The sound of a chimpunk squealing jerked Sanyukta out of another day dream.
"Gosh Kaustuki, do you plan on tearing my eardrums apart?!" chided Sanyukta, as she placed her hands over her ears.
Kaustuki jumped in glee as she replied, "No you silly girl, but it means that the two of you are FINALLY together now! You have no idea how happy I am!"
Sanyukta's smile faded off her face, as she walked over to her wardrobe to remove her towel and a fresh pair of pajamas. "Nahi Kaustu. He's just too upset. We both know we love each other, but he's so hurt that he doesn't want anything to do with me. Except of course, when he's too stressed and he needs to talk to me. But other than that, he's the same old MCP we first met." said Sanyukta, as she walked towards the door.
"Sanyu! Wait! I've got an idea!" grinned Kaustuki, who gestured for Sanyukta to return. Heaving a sigh, she turned back and sat on the chair beside Kaustuki's bed.
"So both of you love each other, but he's just being apathetic and emotionless right? Now, boys can be emotionless when it comes to everything, save for ONE." whispered Kaustuki, winking at Sanyukta.
A flabbergasted Sanyukta stared at Kaustuki as if she's sprouted a pair of antlers behind her ears.
"God Sanyu! Now you get your head out of the Mech Lab, and listen to me VERY carefully."
After listening to her best friend's plan, Sanyukta's eyes widened in shock as she shook her head frantically, trying to dissuade her.
"Oh come on Sanyukta, what's the matter? This is a fool proof plan! Just listen to what I say, and remember to be confident! Don't worry about minor details like Parth and Jignesh, I'll handle them! Now shoo! Go shower, and I'll get you something to wear!" exclaimed a gleeful Kaustuki, as she rummaged through her bags to find something appropriate for Sanyukta to wear for the evening.
"Kaun hai yaar! Who the hell is knocking at midnight? Parth and Jignesh wouldn't knock before coming in, and they both have something on tonight and are not even returning!" mumbled Randhir angrily to himself, as he walked to the door to open it. "I hate this place. Not one moment of privacy-"
Randhir's eyes bulged out of his face as he took in the sight of the incredibly sexy woman standing in front of him. Clad in a black body hugging dress, the figure stepped out from the dim hallway and entered his room, pushing him aside.
"Why hello, MCP. Missed me?" whispered the figure, as Randhir's jaw dropped in shock. The figure in front of him was none other than Sanyukta, clad in nothing but a tiny black dress, leaving nothing to his imagination. Swallowing heavily, he turned to close and bolt the door before facing her, only to find her lying down on his bed.
"What in the world is this Farzi? Get out of here!" shouted Randhir, as he walked over to her and held her hand tightly in an attempt to get her off his bed.
Kicking off her heels and scooting behind on the bed, Sanyukta only let out a giggle as she whispered softly, "Make me."
A baffled Randhir was at his wits end. The girl who'd be wearing salwar suits and kurtis at all times, least bothered about using any makeup, was lying down on his bed, her plump lips colored red with lipstick, enticing him to run his thumb over it. Mentally smacking himself for thinking about Sanyukta in such a way, he grasped her wrist and pulled hard, only to have her pull him over her.
Next thing he knew, he was lying on top of Sanyukta.
Her eyes were smoky with kohl, as she looked up at him, eyes scanning his face. As her eyes rested on his lips, she bit her own plump ones, causing Randhir to lose control of all his senses at that moment.
"You're amazing Randhir, and you need to stop stressing out. Lets forget our problems for one night, and just focus on each other?" said Sanyukta seductively, as she ran the back of her hand over his face.
It was as if something stirred in Randhir that very moment, and his grip on her wrist loosened. Using his free hand to lightly caress her face, he bent down and captured her lips in a searing kiss, the other hand entwined in hers.
Annoyed at the light shining into her eyes, Sanyukta snuggled into her bolster. To her confusion, however, the bolster seemed to be harder than usual. Too tired to think about what could possibly be wrong with her bolster, however, she just buried her face into her bolster, which seemed to smell just like Randhir, making her smile.
Randhir felt a figure cuddling into his chest, and he opened his eyes blearily, shielding them from the light. To his immense shock, he saw someone sleeping by his side, her hair covering his entire chest. His heart skipped a beat, when the events of the previous night came rushing back to him. A smile crept on his face, the first genuine smile in the longest time, and he lightly played with the hair, kissing the girl's head.
"Mmm. Maa, let me sleep!" mumbled Sanyukta sleepily.
An annoyed Randhir smacked Sanyukta on her head on listening to that.
"Arrey! What the? WHAT THE?!" shouted Sanyukta, as she finally realised why was her bolster so hard. Looking up, she turned to face Randhir, who looked absolutely adorable with a frown on his face. Remembering the events of the previous night, a pretty blush crept up her face as she pulled his blanket over her and cupped his face in her hand.
"Why're you upset, baby?" said Sanyukta softly, a smile on her face.
Randhir stared back at her angrily in disbelief, as he replied, "You thought I was your mom! Of course I'd be angry! And what's with this baby nonsense? Don't you every call me that, understand?!"
Sanyukta laughed and pushed herself off Randhir, lying down next to him. "Well, only my mom has caressed my head and kissed me in my sleep, so forgive me for not realising its you." laughed Sanyukta with a wink.
Randhir turned over to face her, a mysterious glint in his eyes. "Even after last night, that's what you think?", he smirked, enjoying the effect he had on her.
She whacked him on his chest, and bent over to look for her clothes.
"Sanyukta?"
"Hmm?" as she walked around, holding the blanket to cover her body as she picked up stray items of clothing from the floor.
"Open my cupboard and pick something out from there. Don't go back wearing what you came in last night. That sight is reserved for ME." said Randhir authoritatively.
Sanyukta laughed heartily, as she walked over to Randhir and planted a chaste kiss on his lips. Ruffling his hair, she went over to his wardrobe to pick out a shirt for herself.
After changing into one of Randhir's shirts and wearing a pair of his boxers, she picked up the rest of her clothes and turned to leave, when she felt Randhir's hand grab her wrist.
Turning back, she said hurriedly, "I need to leave Randhir, we've got class in an hour and I can't be seen in your dorm!"
"I know, you fool. I just wanted to thank you for last night. What you did...I mean.. Thank you. You made me feel like I'm the most loved person in the world. Thank you." muttered Randhir softly, as he engulfed her in a tight hug. Sanyukta smiled and placed a soft kiss onto his bare chest.
Everything was right. Sanyukta had Randhir by her side, and she'd always be there for him. Together, they'd take down the world.
