Sanam's pov. yay!
canteen heart.
If you need to leave
do so quickly
your love is leaking
and it's leaving his name
behind your footsteps
it wont be long before
he finds you
all the holes
in your canteen heart
keep going
the desert isn't nearly
as empty as
he has made you
This poem is a metaphor of what Aahil is doing to Sanam, what she thinks he is doing to her. She cant help but fall for him, but she doesn't want to because she knows that Aahil means danger, and danger means something worse.
So she's leaking all her love out in his name, and he's made her heart emptier than the desert plains, because she doesn't know if he loves her back.
Like, her heart is a canteen with holes it in, and all the water (love) is leaking out. She wants to leave quickly because otherwise all the water (love) will leak out and she'll end up with nothing. And the empty thing means that her canteen (heart) is getting emptier than the desert because of him.
I really hope that made sense because I cant do any better than that.
Sorry for the errors and stuff.
