Chapter 41:

Sandhya

I am so so happy to be back here! I know I cannot promise to catch up in a day but I am here :D:D

Coming to the chapter - WOW a lot happened here, didn't it?

Let me start at the beginning - Payal and Arnav - I simply adored that conversation...Isn't it surprising that someone she rarely paid attention to, let alone like could see her dedication to her profession when her own friend couldn't (albeit in a moment of weakness, I know). I liked that Arnav and Payal have reached the time out stage - it's the first step to what could actually become possibly a pleasant friendship of sorts! And I loved Arnav in how he calmed payal and eased her fears away. It was such a gentlemanly thing to do. After how he dumped Khushi, it is not something I would have expected to see...not with so much warmth...I guess he is finally showing his true self - the loving brother, the boy who broke a girl's heart to save her!

Khushi and Payal's conversation was comforting. Glad that they've cleared the air. A fight between friends is never pleasant and something you want over as soon as it happens!

And finally NK and Khushi...I was cringing almost as much as Khushi as NK was trying to flirt with her, kiss her...I think Nandu is a smart guy - he figured his woman was slipping away - with all that confusion running in Khushi's head about Arnav, how could he not...So he is making sure he still has her...the kiss was part attempt to check, wasn't it? And whether it told Nandu anything or not, I hope it made Khushi realize just how much of an effort she was making to "keep her promise to her fianc"

Oh yes, I finally understand what a dagger through the heart must feel like. Fire in Arnav's eyes, glass shattering around him...Sigh...Did he have to see that...!

Chapter 42:

Where should I begin? The chapter - lighter than the ones before - strangely made me think so much more. Beneath all that awkwardness, the suppressed emotion and the struggle that they are both going through really got to me - Khushi's more than Arnav's...There is this child-like lack of inhibition and cynicism about Khushi's inner monologues but the pain still shines through - and that makes me less than excited than I should be about Arnav's plan to win her back - I mean my heart broke with his when he witnessed her kissing NK...but...I don't know..I think I am yet to forgive Arnav for playing God in their relationship

But that said - he sure did charm the hell out of her parents. didn't he? God, if I were Khushi, my current self preservation walls would be scaling the heights of Mount Everest...He tells her she is beautiful, charms the parents with unforeseen ease, is suddenly nowhere close to the burdened man he was and has a glint of conviction in his eye, like he has discovered his purpose in life...Yep, Khushi should be very very worried I think :P

PS: So she told NK about their past...Good girl...she can be really collected and rational when she wants to be - i love that about her :)

Chapter 43:

I love road trips too and as uncomfortably as this one started, I think it was a good break from all the emotional turmoil. This was a lot more about the unresolved attraction and relationship but in a strangely good way. I only wish Khushi wasn't bound to someone else by promise at this time...Somehow, knowing that there is a possibly good guy waiting back home is unsettling

That said, it was good to see that beneath all the heartache, the original connection, the one that makes them light hearted and uninhibited, even childish at times, still exists - Maybe that should be an indication for Khushi...She is in denial right now...or no...it is still self preservation and forcible ignorance of a fact she is i think aware of - that she isn't over Arnav - not by a mile. She is angry, hurt, scared but still very much...in love...Tough tough place to be in!

And Arnav falling on his butt to realize he still loves her...saying out aloud with a chuckle...That was cute...Despite all my misgivings about what he is doing..I am still smiling at that :D:D

PS - She drinks Evian - Ooh!

PPS - He changes the tire, she visits a temple...Haha...Good stuff, Sandhya...:D:D...Bring it on!

One of THE most crucial chapters in their journey and almost poetic that dusk seemed to have finally paved the way for a new morning for both of them. Like Khushi I am not sure if they are meant to be together after all and mostly because I am not sure what her equation with Nandu is at the moment, but they do have loads of unresolved emotion even now. With understanding comes forgiveness most times and with forgiveness hurt seems to start to fade...perfect recipe for love she's been trying to avoid to come and hit her full force...

Co exist..., not sure that's going to happen

Loved the chapter, S. It was just perfectly paced...my comment doesn't capture it well but I was hooked right through the narrative - weather, emotion and dialogue... Stunning imagery :)

I am really happy that atlast Arnav opened himself after a long time. It was nice to see Khushi and Anrav talking and laughing after a long time. I hope they clear every thing between them
