This is an OS based on the spoilers for the upcoming track on Sandhir...umm...here it goes đ
It had been a week since Sanyukta has come back to FITE after putting an end to her marriage permanently...asking for dowry by Samir's family was the last straw for Sanyukta...to think that her family is being pressurised and actually being forced to pay a bribe of some sort just to ensure her security at her in-laws not only made her feel humiliated but also enraged her...her family's complete withdrawal of support from her, when she decided to protest against it, flabbergasted her...it shocked her that her parents , even her mom , blamed her for bringing shame to their family...she had only wanted to save her family from the humiliation from Samir's family instead all she got was their retribution...They remained mute spectators when Samir accused her of having an affair with another boy in her college and when his family pointed fingers at her character...that broke every bit of patience she possessed...she had yelled out in anger that she did love someone else and if that made her bad, then she did not care...the shocked faces of her parents, brother, Samir and his family did not make her feel guilty, but instead filled her with pleasure...it came as a blow to her when her family told her to leave her house forever and asked her never to return...she felt tears pricking her eyes, but with a determined face, she left her house forever, and made a promise to herself that she will return one day with all the pride she possessed and claim back what she deserves, her family's love...as she left her house, and made her way towards the gate...she had just glanced once back and saw that no one has even bothered to waste a single glance at her ...a new journey awaited her, and trying to look forward to her future she closed the gate of her house...suddenly she had felt someone holding her hand from behind...she knew at an instant that it was him...she had full faith that he would be there to support her, to help her...to be with her in her difficult times, and she was not wrong...Randhir stood there holding her hand silently...there was a promise in his eyes that he will also be there for her, just like she had promised him that she will be there for him always...he had quietly engulfed her in a hug...there was no need for her to tell him what she had been through...he did not ask her, but through his hug he made it clear that he understood...
As she walked through the corridor of her college, she made up her mind that she will finally tell Randhir about her feelings for him...for the past two weeks, she had seen Randhir going about depressed...she knew he was upset about the verdict of his parents' divorce, she had heard all about the verbal spat and the courtroom drama from him...he had one day blurted out everything to her when she had gently poked about the matter...she knew sharing his frustration with her calmed him down, and she gladly helped him doing that...today again he saw Randhir silently sitting alone in the canteen, having a faraway look on his face...it ached her heart seeing him like that..."it was now or never" she decided... She came towards him and sat on the chair infront of him and gently placed her hand over his...as if he has been electrocuted , he removed his hand from under hers with a jerk...Sanyukta, pouted at him and said " that was rude...why did you do that?"...
"you were taking advantage of my solitude that's why..." Randhir replied, a bit rudely
"I needed to tell you something..." Sanyukta replied deciding to ignore his rudeness for once
"Will you decide to keep your thoughts to yourself, if I ask you to?" Randhir said sarcastically..
"you very well know I never listen to you..."Sanyukta replied back
"So go on..." Randhir sighed
"I love you..." Sanyukta said taking a deep breath
Randhir looked back at her silently for sometime...he got up pushing back his chair and went away from the canteen in brisk steps leaving Sanyukta confused...
Sanyukta knew he was still hesitant of getting into any kind of a relationship after witnessing the bitter divorce battle of his parents and after getting hurt once in love...but she knew persistency paid off...and she was determined to get her Randhir back...
So from that day onwards, every moment she was free she made it sure that she spends with Randhir...suddenly Randhir found, Sanyukta was everywhere...Here he was in the lab trying to fix a machine, he looked up and saw Sanyukta smile at him and whisper "I love you"...he went to the canteen to grab a bite, he turned around and saw Sanyukta standing there with a plate of sandwiches infront of him , she again smiled at him and whispered " I love you"...feeling frustrated he snatched at the plate and sat down at a nearby table with a bang...and off course Sanyukta sat there in front of him smiling, and again she whispered "I love you"...this went on for a few days...she was everywhere, at class she sat beside him, at canteen, at the lab she made sure she was his partner...at the playroom...at the college ground..at the library...and everytime he looked at her she whispered an " I love you" to him...even at night without fail Randhir would receive a message from her in his mobile which said "I love you"... it was a blessing she did not follow him to his bathroom also...Randhir smirked as he thought the possibility of having Sanyukta in his bathroom with him...he made up his mind to share this thought with her the next time she tries to pester him and embarrass her to bits...
Randhir was sitting in an empty classroom, engrossed in a new book about mechanical engineering when suddenly he found someone hugging him from behind...it took him a split second to realise that it was Sanyukta...and again she whispered "I love you" in his ears...he shivered feeling her soft breath over his ears, and there played a shadow of a smile across his lips...he quickly composed himself, and grabbing Sanyukta's hand made her sit beside him roughly ..." What the hell do you think are you doing" Randhir said angrily to her... Sanyukta scrunched up her nose, made her eyes wide and very innocently said "what did I do Randhir?"...
"This...following me everywhere...flooding my mobile inbox with messages..." He said loudly feeling exasperated and thoroughly irritated ...
"That's because I am your girlfriend and I have a right to do all this...and you know I love you'..." Sanyukta replied innocently...
"When did you become my girlfriend?" Randhir replied irritated...
"You forgot ?...you , yourself told me once, that I am your girlfriend..." she pouted
Randhir remembered that exact moment when he had committed that "crime", it was after that accident she had while driving the prototype for qualifying in the Dream Team Competition ...
"I was being sarcastic with you if you remember, when I said that" Randhir replied
"Nope, you were pretending to be sarcastic...I know you were... I love you'.." Sanyukta said smiling
"Stop saying I love you' like a parrot, Sanyukta...arrrghh!..you are driving me crazy..." Randhir said and held his head with his hands...
Suddenly he heard a loud sob...horrified he looked up and saw Sanyukta sobbing bitterly...tears falling down her cheeks...Randhir felt guilty...he cleared his throat and said gruffly "err...no need to cry...I did not mean to yell at you..."
"you called me parrot..." Sanyukta continued sobbing and sniffling..
Randhir fished out a handkerchief from his pocket and handing that to her awkwardly said..."ummm...I am sorry...but you just keep repeating the same all the time...it gets irritating you know...", Randhir's words had a reverse effect, she started sobbing even more loudly, dabbing her eyes occasionally with the handkerchief...
"Ok...there...stop crying...tell me what I can do...so that you stop crying..." Randhir said helplessly..
Sanyukta looked up at him, a mischievous glint in her eyes... she said " Say I love you' to me "...
"What?...you want me to lie to you ?...you know I cannot say that to you..." Randhir said seriously
"what is this ? you cannot even do this little thing for me? I have been following you, taking care of you...saying I love you to you almost hundred times each day...and I have been doing this for one week now and you are not even bothered about me..." Sanyukta blurted out, her patience had given away...she wanted to slap Randhir, pull his hair, and force him to say "I love you" ...she cannot lose after coming so far...she felt real tears pricking her eyes now...
Randhir looked at her silently for sometime...he then cupped her face and said gently " stupid girl...you did all these just to hear an I love you' from me?"
Sanyukta nodded silently and said ... " but I want you to mean it too..."
"I love you, Sanyukta, I always have and will always do...even if I don't say it...you should know it" Randhir said smiling at her...his eyes were twinkling...
"You know it was fun teasing you...tormenting you Sanyukta this past week...it was getting hard to pretend to ignore you...but I must say you did well...you were pretty annoying" Randhir continued laughing..
Sanyukta looked at him shocked...so all this time he was just playing around with her...just pretending to be hard to get?...she wanted to slap him...she felt her temper rising...when she was just about yell at him, she felt his lips on hers...and that erased every bit of anger she had towards him...she kissed him back fiercely...after sometime they broke apart...Sanyukta blushed looking at him... "Sanyukta?..." Randhir said...and she looked at him questioningly..." Will you be my girlfriend?"
"I have one condition..." Sanyukta said winking at him
"What?..." he asked
"i want you to say I love you to me everyday"...she said
He smiled at her and engulfed her in a warm hug and whispered in her ears " I love you...and I will keep saying that everyday ...i promise".
"I love you too Randhir..." Sanyukta whispered back
"Oh, you know...there is something I must tell you..." Randhir said
"What?" she replied
"You were following me everywhere this past week...right?"
"Right!" she nodded agreeing
"you forgot one place..." Randhir smirked
"which place?" Sanyukta looked at him confused
"My bathroom" Randhir said looking serious
As Sanyukta understood the hidden meaning of the sentence, she blushed. Randhir started laughing loudly seeing her embarrassed...she threw a punch at his chest...he caught her hand and kissed on her cheeks and said " I love you"
Sanyukta hugged him and said " you know something..." , Randhir looked at her questioningly
"Persistency pays off...i promised myself I will get you back...and I did...it doesn't matter how...but I still won..." She smiled proudly and kissed him on his cheeks...he looked at her in surprise and decided not to argue with her...he loved seeing her happy ...
She knew he had purposely decided not to argue ...she knew he wanted her to be happy and that made him so special to her...he always understands her...like she always does...she rested her head on his shoulder and sighed contentedly ...they sat like this for a long time...finding solace in each other's company.
