Is it over for Sonu Nigam?

these days we dont hear much of him he was a big name from 1997-2012 suddenly what happened to him is it over for him or his musical era or it was just some fight with music companies ?????

Nope definitely not...have you heard his songs from kill dil and dawaat e ishq there amazing and he has a long time ahead...he is so so so so talented and my fave fave favw

he is still the best male signer right now. He demands the highest price to sign in weddings amongst all singers in India.

I hope not. I think it's his stand against the music companies that has shadowed him a bit, but there are still people out yhere who appreciate his talent and thus getting work. Loved his Mannat song from DEI...

hope he get back in mainstream films again

I mean thats how it is with most singers right, their voice does not stay young and fresh forever. HE is the best singer there is no doubt in that, and I love his songs, but before him it was Udit Narayan, and before that it was Kumar Sanu, and in another era it was rafisaab and Kishore Kumar...so in this era I think its Arijit Singh...I see great potential in him. Alka Yagnik isn't signing much either anymore. It's sad but in 5, 6 years who know if shreya Ghoshal will even sing songs...Stardom never lasts forever... and this isn't Hollywood, where individual albums become such great hits. Although I think Shreya has the power to do that if the songs are composed well, but individual albums are not a big thing in india, so its tough. I hope that he still gets some songs though, because he is one of the most talented singers I know!!!

i think he is not yet but he surely lost the charm .. if there a sonu nigam song and there is an arijit song , i feel more inclined towards arijit's voice in recent times than sonu's ...so maybe he is not completely washed over but he isnt one of the mainstream singer anymore

kumar sanu lose his throat because of drinking i guess , that is why he was out of work in early 2000 only use to get some songs though...ya i guess musicians of west have better secure future they have not to be depended on films i guess in india only Sonu had good independent carrier his all albums have been record breaking like Jaan , Yaad, Dewana , Chanda Ki Doli, Kismat but albums dont work any more in india because of e-plagarism of songs by downloading it for free i guess

ya he isnt a mainstream as of now :( but ya i would prefer Sonu Nigam or Udit Narayan any day on Arijit Singh, Arijit dont have the expressions which Sonu, Udit had the rafi sahab school of thought mean original traditional Bollywood stuff he even dont have the voice which can suite every actor which was not the case for Sonu and Udit there voices were more actor friendly. Arijit is more a replica of atif aslam voice mean raw kind of

atif and arijit are two different voices .. i for once am a sucker for arijit and irfan's voices ❤️ they are so soulful and touches the core ... though i do agree their voices might not suit the actors well but at the end of the day, for me, the song counts more than picturization 😆 sonu and udit do hav more commercial voice...😆
