Cabir paced around the music room. They had him now...he would have to tell them. But how could he? What if they thought of him differently after this? No. He needed to think of something else. Suddenly he heard Mukti and Manik's voice. He turned towards the entrance, and saw Navya come in.
"Madhubala!" he exclaimed. Her eyes widened, and as she was going to make an escape he pulled her towards him. "You are perfect."
"What?" she said, but she was silenced with his lips on hers. Her eyes widened, and as she struggled to pull away, he pulled her closer.
"WHAT THE...?!?!" Yelled the other people who had entered the room. Cabir finally let go of Navya and turned to face the rest. Navya was still frozen.
"Well here you go guys...my secret..." Cabir said.
"Cabir...you...that? What? No!" Mukti exclaimed.
"Are you kidding me Cabir?" Alya said.
"Navya! How could you not tell me?" Nandini said.
"Cabir! You could never date Navya!" Harshad exclaimed.
"Well I am...so deal with it!" Cabir said, then dragged Navya out of the room and towards an abandoned staircase. "So about that kiss..."
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?????" Navya yelled. Cabir clamped his hand over her mouth.
"Let me explain. I needed to do that. I've been hiding something from them, and I couldn't tell them the truth, and this was shocking enough for them to understand why I kept it a secret."
"So you kiss me?!?!? What is wrong with you? What could be so bad that you had to kiss me? And why was it me? Your secret better be worth is Cabir. I will kill you for this. It can't be so bad that you had to kiss me!" Navya said.
"I'm Gay!" Cabir exclaimed. Navya froze in her spot for the second time that day. Cabir sighed. "Navya...Navyaaa...NAVYA!"
"What? Are you serious?"
"Yes I'm serious. I found out sometime ago...and I'm in a relationship."
"Cabir...why didn't you just tell them that?"
"Do you know how hard it is for gay people to be accepted in our society? That too India...I'm surprised that you are not freaking out right now."
"Oh I am...just on the inside. You need someone to talk to now, more than anything. Cabir...it's the 2ist century. If people can't except it now, when can they?"
"I know, but it's India. It's illegal in India."
"Because we Indians follow the law all the time..." Navya said, smiling at him. Cabir chuckled.
"You're not that bad," he said.
"Neither are you..." she said. "But you need to tell them. If you can't tell them...who will you ever be able to tell..."
"I guess you're right," he sighed.
"No...you know I'm right," Navya said.
