A baraat is proceeding with security behind the dhula, Kishore, who looks like running and then suddenly he drops. The security officers check to find him dead.
ACP Pradyuman, Kavin, Karan, and Shreya are now at the site questioning everyone and examining Kishore. One man says that everything was going well and suddenly Kishore dropped. (Yep because he decided that he would rather die then get married. Just out of curiosity, why are the men always asked if they're getting cold-feet? Why aren't the females ever asked that? 😆) He's blue under the eyes and Kavin thinks it's poison. The dulhan blames Mr. Pritesh Kumar, her father, because he's against the marriage since Kishore wasn't as rich as him. He threatened to kill Kishore if they got married. She says she is sure that he paid someone and blames some Praveen Gogla, a criminal and Pritesh's friend. (Well that's good. First time the dulhan's family is against the marriage and killed the dulha. Everyone clap for the dulhan's father. 😆) The security guards say that they didn't let anyone near him, but it still happened. The dulhan blames the guards now. Shreya takes her away. ACP Pradyuman asks where Kishore's safe house is.
ACP Pradyuman, Kavin, and Shreya reach the safe house. (Clap for the FW who repeated the team properly!) Another member of their team who takes care of the house comes out and then one guard points to a CCTV camera. (Wah kya baat hai! Ab ghar main bhi CCTV lagne lag gaye hain. I'm telling you. I'm a spiteful girl and when I watch CID, even the good episodes, the spite comes out. 😆) Aditi, the dulhan, is the only one who came in the house who brought food as well. Kavin finds nothing.
In the dark forensic lab, the body is being examined carefully. (Explain how a body can be examined carefully in the dark FW. Because I really want to know.) Dr. Salunkhe rubs his hand through Kishore's hair and a large bunch comes out. Tarika asks how this happened and Dr. Salunkhe says the symptoms point to radiation poison. (Err...shouldn't they be in hazmat suits then? Because radiation can spread by touch, through the air, and every other means possible.) Then Dr. Salunkhe answers my question by saying that they won't be affected because the poison only spreads through food or drinks. (Sorry FW but radiation can spread in any way. Just look at Hiroshima and Nagasaki.) Dr. Salunkhe tells Tarika to prepare for tests and he phones ACP Pradyuman to get a Geiger counter. (Chalo this was a smart research move by the illustrious FW. For those who don't know a Geiger counter is basically an instrument used to measure ionizing radiation or radiation in the air. That's just a very basic explanation. For a better explanation use Google.)
In the safe house, the team start using the Geiger counter, while wearing yellow glasses. They start checking everything carefully. (Actually you don't really need to do that. From what I remember from chem class the Geiger counter can detect if there is radiation in the air then if you follow a "trail" of sorts it'll take you to the place the radiation is strongest. Please correct me if I'm wrong.) ACP Pradyuman asks the guards if Kishore always ate from one tiffin. They agree and they say Aditi always brought the tiffin. Kavin comes back and says nothing in the kitchen has radiation. (Sorry Kavin dear, but there are a million other things and places you could check. Why just give up in the kitchen? But then again. Given the explanation Dr. Salunkhe gave, I guess that makes sense.)
Abhijeet and Sachin reach the lab and say that they found no radiation in the safe house at all. Dr. Salunkhe says they made a mistake in using the machine then. Sachin says it could be he made the mistake. Dr. Salunkhe says that he is sure and they show the X-ray which has a huge black something in the stomach.
Shreya finds a bottle under the table in the bedroom. (Let me guess. It's the poison. Like no duh! ) ACP Pradyuman wonders what's in the bottle and tells them to check. (There's one thing I don't get. Abhijeet says in the above scene that they checked every corner of the safe house and found nothing. Yet suddenly Shreya finds a bottle. If the search wasn't done then how could they say that?!!) The bottle tests negative for radiation. (Ah so I was wrong.) ACP Pradyuman asks the guards if they know about it, but they don't. ACP Pradyuman tells Kavin to question each guest in the marriage and Aditi as well.
In the forensic lab, over a rotating table (which only god knows why it was rotating) Dr. Salunkhe and Tarika are investigating something. Abhijeet comes in with the bottle with Sachin, Kavin, and Karan and says that Kishore didn't die because of radiation. Dr. Salunkhe says that the radiation is in his stomach, which had a hair ball in it, which had the poison that had radiation in it that killed him. (Okay that is disgusting. Why would he eat hair and that too such a big amount?) Then Dr. Salunkhe adds the hair he found in Kishore's hair wasn't his, but someone else's and it contained the poison as well. Abhijeet asks when the hair went into Kishore's stomach and Dr. Salunkhe says 7 days ago, which is before he got protection. (My question is why didn't they get flushed out? I mean digested and you know...literally flushed out?) We are shown a very obvious fake video of how the hair got stuck in the stomach lining and the poison spread. (WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! Radiation poisoning will kill someone in less than 48 hours if they don't get treated! There is no bloody freaking way that Kishore could have lived for 7 days and died just as he was walking to his mandap! No freaking way!) Abhijeet says that this means that Kishore's death was an accident because the murderer wanted to kill the person whose hair Kishore ate. Dr. Salunkhe says that the hair is a man's and there is very little pigmentation. He aims the age at 40 to 55 and says the man dyed his hair. (Err I believe several types of dyes are actually full of chemicals that can make you seriously sick if they go into your food pipe. Then why wasn't this Kishore dear seriously sick? There's nothing about the forensics that makes sense in this case! Meanwhile the table continues to rotate.) Sachin says that the poison isn't found easily. Dr. Salunkhe suggests Abhijeet to find out if any atomic lab had a robbery recently. They also wonder why Kishore had poison in his house. Abhijeet says that the interesting thing is that Kishore ate the hair 7 days ago so they should search his house.
Daya, Freddy (who finally grace us with their presence), Kavin, and Karan reach Kishore's house and start searching. Daya and Freddy are serious about how Kishore and Aditi fell in love, but lost everything the moment they were about to get married. Daya finds a termination letter which tells him that Kishore worked at Pritesh's company. (Wah! So innovative. An employee falls in love with the owner's daughter and loses his job because of that. Grow up FW! 🤔) Freddy finds rotting food. Daya checks, but doesn't find hair in it. They check the ration, but don't find any ration. Daya says that this means the food came from outside. Then Daya checks a backpack and finds bus tickets from a week ago to Tilak Nagar. (Don't mind but why would anyone keep a week old bus tickets so carefully? Oh right so that when he gets a murdered a week later CID can find his murderer easily. Give me a break. You know where my bus ticket goes? I drop it somewhere on the bus or subway as I'm getting off at my destination. Some even find their way into a garbage on my way to my destination. And the few that find their way home go into the garbage directly.) Kavin wonders why he went to Tilak Nagar daily if he didn't have a job.
The 4 reach Tilak Nagar bus stop and Daya sees a L.P. Charitable Trust where needy people get food and clothing. They go in to question people as Daya feels that maybe some other people got poisoned as well.
Inside the posh office (Okay I'm involved with United Way at work and I've been to places like what L.P. Charitable Trust is and I know for a fact that there's nothing so posh about these places. Many of these places are in a rundown house that no one wanted to buy so was donated to charity and the people working there tried to patch it up as nicely as they could on a very limited budget. This place looks like the office of a private multi-national company!), Daya asks to speak to the manager who just happens to be coming out at that exact time. He introduces himself as Avinash. Kavin shows Kishore's photo and Avinash recognizes him right away. Daya says that they found poison in hair which they think went through his food that he ate here. Avinash says that a few people complained about hair in the food and the cook threw the food out when he saw that. They ask about the volunteers who come there to help cook the food and are handed a register with 60 to 70 names in it. Freddy wonders how they'll find the right name. Daya reminds them about what Dr. Salunkhe said and the cook remembers and says it's Ramesh.
ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, Shreya, and a background cop reach Ramesh's house to find a party going on. They want to meet Ramesh, but he died 4 days ago in a road accident. (Wah kya patni hai. 4 days ago her husband dies and she's partying.) Shreya makes the same comment. The wife says that life doesn't stop with a person dying. They ask how the accident happened. She blames Ramesh saying he fell asleep at the wheel, quite rudely. One man, Rahul, Alisha's friend, invites the 4 to join in the party. ACP Pradyuman gets angry at that and says they suspect the 2 now. They ask for Ramesh's DNA, but Alisha says she already completed the last rites and burned his body. They ask for something else, but Alisha asks them to come tomorrow. ACP Pradyuman looks at Shreya who threatens her quietly about taking her to the bureau. Alisha takes Shreya inside and gives her Ramesh's comb. She bags it and is leaving when she stops to examine something. She brings out an ID that shows that Alisha works at RAC Nuclear Centre. (How convenient. The wife will now become a prime suspect especially when they find the poison missing from the lab.) Sachin remembers what Dr. Salunkhe said about the poison being from a lab. ACP Pradyuman says the party is over.
Dr. Salunkhe tells Abhijeet, Sachin, Kavin, and Karan that Ramesh is not the person who was killed by the poison. The hair pigmentation was because the man took drugs that made him look like he was 40, though he was 30. Because of the drug he probably hallucinates and shivers when writing. Kavin remembers that he saw such a name in the log book at the centre and it was Nishant Kumar.
Daya, Freddy, Kavin, and Karan reach Nishant's house, where his mother asks if they found out anything about Nishant. Daya says that they suspect Nishant may be poisoned. Nishant's wife says that he went to Delhi 4 days ago and sent a SMS that he reached Delhi properly, but after that they lost contact with him. They question them if they found out anything from anywhere else. They say that they phoned the hotel, but they say Nishant never reached there and the airport says that Nishant never took his flight. (Sorry to say but airlines and airport authorities are not permitted to give that information without a warrant. Passenger safety or something.) Daya asks the secretary, Rosy, about his schedule. Rosy says he never wrote about going to Delhi. Nishant's wife was about to say something, but stops. Another lady says he took a private taxi to go to the airport.
On the road, Daya looks at a map where Kavin shows a GPS map of where Nishant had been on the day he was supposed to go to Delhi. (Wah kya GPS hai! I would love to have one as well!) Daya says something was going on in Nishant's mind and Kavin suggests that this may be the reason why he was poisoned. Daya says we'll find out after going to the last location in Virar.
The 4 reach the abandoned, jungle location where they find hair in one area. (Kept very nicely just for CID to find. 😆) Then Freddy points out an area where it looks like the dirt was dug just a while ago. Daya tells them to dig in the places they found where the digging had just happened. All 4 are at different points digging when Daya notices an outhouse of sorts. He continues digging and then examines the other holes. They find nothing. Daya tells Karan to check the house. Daya thinks the digging happened to take out what was in the dirt first. Karan comes out with bottles which contains drugs. Freddy finds a body meanwhile in the most obvious place to put a body under leaves. (Once again very obviously.)
In the forensic lab, Sachin says that Nishant was moving around the city to get drugs which Dhenchu told them. Kavin names the lab where the poison was stolen from. Abhijeet asks when Nishant died and Dr. Salunkhe says 4 days ago. Abhijeet deduces that it means someone else, maybe the murderer, sent the message 3 days ago. Dr. Salunkhe adds that there was a fight with the murderer before Nishant's death. Kavin says that it means the murderer is left-handed. He remembers Deepak, Nishant's friend, is left-handed as well.
Kavin, Daya, Freddy, and Karan are on the road searching for Deepak, who has already disappeared from his house. They find his location and it's coming towards them. Then the signal disappears and when it appears again it's elsewhere. Freddy mentions aatma. (Just when you think FW would finally give Freddy a serious role, aatmas are mentioned. *face slap*) Daya goes back to the location where Deepak is. They block Deepak and search his bag to find money in it. Daya slaps him.
In the Qualis, Deepak says that he and Nishant took drugs together and their drug dealer told them about a large deal. Then the dealer got caught and they went to the dealer's location and stole the money, but then Nishant hid the money elsewhere to run away with the secretary, Suzie. (FW at least remember the names of the characters you bring in the show for that one day! Her name is Rosy, not Suzie!) Deepak adds that they fought a lot on this matter as well and we see a flashback of a fight and his death as an accident. Kavin says that it doesn't matter how the murder happened, it's still a murder. He agrees that he sent the text to find the money and when he found it he thought of starting a new life.
In the forensic lab, Dr. Salunkhe says that the case has become more confused to ACP Pradyuman, Sachin, Shreya, and the background cop. He says that the poison takes 3 to 4 days to kill. He says that Nishant was being given the poison in small doses over 20 days so that it couldn't be detected on his death. ACP Pradyuman says we caught the drug dealer a week ago, which means someone else wanted to kill Nishant over Deepak. (I'm sorry but why is CID the one to catch everyone? Couldn't they have said that the drug dealer was caught by police a week ago?) Dr. Salunkhe brings a hair to show when the poisoning started. They find that Nishant wasn't poisoned on the 23rd and 24th, which is when Nishant's whole family went out of the city except Nishant. ACP Pradyuman deduces that a family member poisoned Nishant. (Wah! The case is solved so easily!)
At Nishant's house, Daya, Kavin, Freddy, Karan, and Divya are in front of the family. Daya says that the murderer is in the room. They go round and round and blame Suzie/Rosy. Divya goes to arrest Suzie, when Nishant's wife tries to hurt her. But Daya continues saying that the DNA sample they're going to run in the lab tomorrow will bring the culprit out as Suzie is taken away.
Someone manages to creep into the lab very easily at night and starts searching around for the DNA sample when ACP Pradyuman, Dr. Salunkhe, Sachin, Shreya, and the background cop come out to confront the masked murderer. Shreya takes the mask off to reveal the aunt, Sheetal. She takes out a gun and points it at Shreya. (Yep like always the cop has to be at gunpoint.) Shreya simply pushes the gun aside and slaps her. Sheetal reveals she did everything to take revenge for her daughter's death. She says that her daughter died 2 years ago because of a drug overdose and found the same drugs at Nishant's house. She started giving Nishant the poison slowly because she read it somewhere. She says she befriended the lab's assistant and then gave him money to get the poison. ACP Pradyuman shows sympathy for what happened with her daughter, but delivers the final phansi dialogue after that.
My Comments: Overall the episode was okay. Some good investigation, but the forensics is lacking. There were too many basic mistakes in the entire episode that ruined the fun of the episode. By the end these mistakes lessened, but it took away from the episode still. I would give it a 2.
