I am extremely disappointed with Sonali. I supported her so much as you know but to make that comment about anyone is highly wrong.

So what if someone is uneducated or poor or from slums. Dont they have right to exist? or be what they are? or be proud? I can understand tit for tats like english medium or hindi medium but to call someone slum is shocking on many ways. Its insult to poor people. It shows you see them as less and then you use that against others.

What has she done to deserve this? Because she is hyper and over acts or acts dumb?

Sonali you should be ashamed of yourself. Let us know how much educated you are. If I were to go into your mindset then believe me you come out as uneducated also. However that is okay.

Shame on you...repent. Dont discriminate against poor. They are as much as humans as you are.

One can counter argue with Karishma's statments regarding '...coming from a Marathi or Gujrati school'. I mean, the school doesnt decide how intelligent or knowledgeable you are!!

I think just like how we stereotype a few things like south indians "madrasi" with a typical accent to them
Punjabi's lot of food and accent

chawl /slum loud fights and arguments

NRI's : shortest shorts and over the top styles and luxury

She blurted out one of the typical stereotypes, though wrong still if people in Bollywood still run thier movies with these stereotypes what can one do

I get it. That school comment can be seen as biased as well. However discriminating based on wealth, area of living, is much much bigger discrimination and crude.

You have stereotyped Hippos as fat however I am a lean mean machine.
Please dont stereotype like Sonali did. She should have been evicted for that comment.

are slum walo ko agar proper education, food, shelter, clothing, employment mil jaye toh woh slum me rahenge kya, unko bhi self respect hoti hai...majburi hai slum me rehne ki...lekin tanna toh majbur na hote hue bhi uska behaviour aur thinking kitni cheap hai

Agree with you...instead she could have said uncivilised people. It has nothing to do with rich and poor, the area one lives, educated or uneducated.
