I just happen to see replay of SRGMP, just heard Mauli singing Taal se taal mila.. OMG sach mein like she sang the song... na sur hai na taal hai.. looks like that's true...

I am surprised how come everyone says oh she is so good & vote for her...

I was saying the samething when i heard the song 😆

As for judges

Ashaji had a chance of voting her off, she didnt

Khayyamji had, he didnt

Anandji had he didint

As for viewers

they had the chance to vote her out and they didnt

waise bhi yeh sur aur taal ka jamana gaya😆

so yes she is universally accepted, not that we have to like her, but it seems the taste's of music differ, and this certainly can be attribute to that

Vineet, I agree with some of your points... just wondering is it differnce in taste or are we focusing something other than music???

My point is not difference in taste but I think the original song is a big hit and the way she sang I felt like it was totally changed/distorted(if I can use that word, sorry in advance if someone feel offended by that word, I am using that term in comparison with original one) ....may be I am wrong as I am not the music expert I am saying what I felt after hearing...

sach anu I am very disappointed.. when we all will understand the objective.. in beauty contest we need to focus on beauty, for specific talent we need to focus on specific talent so on singing contest we should focus on singing talenlt only... that's just my POV.

I disagree with all of you. And I'm not saying all this because she's from the USA or because she's Gujarati or even because she's close to our family.
But she really has a nice voice for songs similar for Maiya Maiya. Songs like Taal se Taal Mila are not suitable for her. I agree that she sung the song very bad. Her pickup was horrible and she could have done way better, but all of you fail to understand she still has a good voice for "item numbers."
But I hope in the coming rounds she shows more improvement and selects songs that are actually suitable for her voice.

cutiepie ji, ok just let me know one thing when we judge the contestent don't we judge it on the perofrmance they give on that particular time? I heard her 2nd time. Last I heard her was when Anand ji was judge & both days I had same feelings. Do you think that other singers are not better than her? May be she is suiatble for that kind of song but what's the purpose of contest, to find a versatile singer or a singer who can sing particular type of songs? We still can differ, but if you think yes she is the best and we have no other singer better than her are rejected... I will respect your opinion...

I don't think your are wrong at all manjujain, as i felt the same way. infact when i was watching her performance online i saw the expression of Dia Mirza and Shamita. they were both horrified. it looked like as if Dia could not believe someone could make fool of them selfselve on TV, The two actresses shrinking eyes, Dia's covering her horrified facial expression using her hand said a lot about Mauli's singing talent. it was really embarrassing to watch. And ID was laughing all the way, and HR went total silent during her performance that he was not even looking up!But for some mysterious reason he defended her gross signing as usually. I wonder why is he doing that! But I liked the fact that Dia spoke up about the unfair judgment, even though she was skilfully stopped by Himmy ji to raised the issue on TV 🤢for obvious reason.But her attempt was good! brave girl👏

I Completely agree with YOU... Mauliz performance have been horrible after Mayya Mayya ( the first time around)

But some ppl did not understand or see it.. she was going off pitch in her high notes and she does not pronounces the word correctly .. At times.. she does not hold her notes .. very choppy .. ..these lil things can hurt a song and the singer..

most of her preformances were BELOw average.. but still ppl will vote for her cuz of personal Reasons.. Itz just funny .. when many singer are improving after every show.. she is just getting worst..

okie she may have a good voice for folk and item number.. So does amanat , Mussarat , junaid , Poonam , Joy , Everyone has their own genre that they will excell in.. but that does not give them reason to give horrible performances... This is SRGMP.. not the next bathroom singer...
