How could Akbar not be great-someone who had so much wealth and power, yet found himself so helpless when it came to life of his own children-how could such a man not value and respect life in all it's forms castes and religions

That he valued his children and all his relatives even those who conspired against him itself is a proof of his greatness. While his son blinded his own son for power. He found himself helpless as he cared. He felt. When none of his successors did.
