Shreya waiting for your review and seems like the forum is dead today. Anyhow here goes my review for todays episode before I forget what I want to write.
If I understood Akshay correctly then the dare was to place fire on a part of the body for a min. of 30 seconds and dance. Based on that I'll review the dare part.
Amar: The focused guy is back. I liked the crumping and a bit of Indian, though I'd have preferred to see him only do krump because he was good at it. I have to honestly say you can't slot him into any category because every style he does, looks like as if that's his style. He took the dare literally and placed fire on one part of his body and danced. Not too daring but thankfully it was smooth and he didn't get stuck or take too long putting the fire on/off him (which is where some went wrong).
Also liked how Akshay told the others that he's a strong contender, I always thought he was regardless of the two red cards as he's very focused and determined.
Alisha: She's hands down the best female dancer and she proved it again today. The fire on the skirt looked so dangerous esp the ending when she sat. She managed that very well. With the spins, she killed two birds with a stone because the dare element was there along with turns in her semi-classical Indian contemporary. She deserved the AK is OK. I still feel she's not getting enough credit on this show. She's been performing consistently and not just dares.
Sanam: In terms of overall packaging, his act was the best. The wings just gave a majestic effect. But this was not his best by a stretch. In the beginning whilst breathing the fire something definitely went off.
Mayuresh: At the onset I have to say he and Prince played the most with fire. I liked Mayuresh performance; his contemporary was good and the lines clean. The only part were he made a mistake was when he had to light the fire on his lower leg, it took him and long and he got on the second try. But his dare was no less considering he was very close to the fire most of the time. He deserved two greens.
Sanjay couldn't even justify his red card. The part he pointed out when he went back to create the form with those bars was smooth and graceful and lost?? They definitely have to bring a better judge for the dancing if there's going to be a next season.
Prince: Like I pointed out above he and Mayuresh used the fire element the most. Prince was dancing in the fire practically throughout the performance. A plus point for him is that he dances very fast so he gets to show more steps. I could have punched Sanjay on my screen had he given him a red. I nearly fell for it.
Emillie: Sanam pointed out how she would be dancing in todays performance and I actually saw her dance today and my gut instinct were right. Not that it was very bad or she made mistakes. She definitely can dance but needs a lot more practice. I found her very heavy footed in some places and honestly had Sanjay not said she was performing Samba, I would have just said this was a Bollywood performance. The hip swivels were weak, very weak.
I don't have a favourite today. Most were good but none were WOOOW.

Totally apt review.

Emilie: I think she was technically sound in her performance but her being tomboyish in real life reflected in this act.She lacked the panache of a delicate, graceful dancer which was reqd in this act.
But I still adore her for the amount of strength she has and the fact that she could beat any guy when it comes to her strength ie. stunts and acrobatia.

Amar: Keeping my love for him aside, I genuinely thought his act was the best that day.
He incorporated Crump into tandav and was mighty good at it!
He had a concept, he had the larger than life effects due to the dust/powder thingy he used, and to top it all those amazing moves.
Perfect!

Alisha: I love that she is so versatile. She can pull of any dance form with such ease.Truly a born dancer!

Sanam: Since I've heard that he won D2D, I can't help but be a little extra hard on him.He had a cool concept, carried off what his act entailed with ease but I feel it was one of his weaker acts.Last week was so much better.
