Today, I got a chance to watch God's acting skills..! Yeah I saw Him act...like nobody else does.. bringing every bit of emotion to life, touching the deepest roots of the character and portraying it in a way that it looks really real. Today I watched Episode 39 of Zee TV's series "Rishtey" called "MAA" starring none other than the God of Acting: Aditya Srivastava ☺️
It is astonishing how this man erases all the boundaries that exist between an actor and his character. I searched for this episode to watch Aditya Sir playing Rashid Gul...but I ended up watching Rashid Gul playing himself. Yes, he makes you believe that the character is not just a character, it exists in reality. His eyes are so eloquent that they mesmerise you just the same way.. be it the courage and style of a brilliant CID officer..or the fear and cunningness of a dreaded terrorist.👏👏
The first appearance of him in the episode is with a beard...pretty obviously to make him look fierce! However, had it been the year 2000...and if I was watching this episode as a part and parcel of any and everything that comes on TV without any pre-conceived hopes, then I was likely to be afraid of him. But surprisingly..or maybe not so surprisingly being the die-hard Abhijeet lover that I am, I found him very cute in that beard too🤣
I was expecting to see some great performance in the upcoming 41 minutes of this youtube video.. but I had not expected it to be so Great. Now Rashid Gul is supposedly very mean and clever, he takes shelter in the house of the lady whose son he had mercilessly murdered a few years back. This should and it does ignite hatred in the hearts of the viewers for Rashid. But this hatred is not very long -lasting. You see it melting for the first time, when Rashid asks the mother why she did'nt shoot him when she had the pistol as well as the opportunity? The innocence in his eyes is that of a child who is angry and sad at the same time. 🥺
Just one thing hiding this innocence is the beard 😕 no worries another 5 minutes into the video and that is gone too!! YAY!🥳
OMG... who will say this guy was once a terrorist! Looks to die for!!
The transition is not just that of a bearded man to a clean shaven dude..it is also accompanied by the transformation of a terrorist to a good-hearted individual. And And And... amidst all these transitions, THAT SHY "SENIOR INSPECTOR ABHIJEET" SPECIAL SMILE spotted... haaye..😳
Rashid suffers from high fever...the mother and sister of the guy killed by Rashid take good care of him till he is absolutely fit and fine. As they say, Goodness can change the cruellest of people, somehow the good done to Rashid makes him good too. Emotions start pouring out from the once heartless killer... he remembers his own sister, and this scene turns out to be the most impactful scene of this performance of this God... the way he emotes the pain with just a single line... "meri bhi ek behen thi...bilkul tere jaisi" is outstanding.👏👏
And then comes the part for which I took the pains of finding this old series on youtube, but trust me it was worth it... Thanks to deba di for telling me about this episode, and the gif she made was actually the reason that took me on this journey.. In all these years of watching CID I have never seen THIS laughter of Aditya Sir, whether on-screen or off-screen...until recently when we saw something of this kind in KBC 😳
Mesmerised, overawed, spellbound are just a few words that can be used to describe the effect his performance had on me...but to be precise it is far beyond words... it is something that can only be experienced... and everyone who has watched this episode will surely agree with me on this... and if you haven't watched it...you can't afford to miss this one if you are a true blue Aditya Fan...take my word for it. 😃
